^^Pretty much exactly what was done with our header.
Which showed interesting gains in back to back testing with a few map adjustments...

Rather it should collect at a distance 3 times as long as the first collector. Since I don't know the port timing specs I'll just make a very general example to get the point across. If the outer runners collect at 12" to each other, then the middle runner should join in downstream at a total distance of 36". Again these aren't actual numbers just an example....

it makes several assumptions that are incorrect and still not being acknowledged

I wish I could comment with some knowledge, unfortunately my lack of experience on the matter just puts me here as a spectator that is learning much from the back and forth.

Like it or not, the concept works.

The short headers on that are probably because it looks like one for an A-series engine - ANY performance header for one of those is either a SCB or LCB design. Equal lengths are not good....

as has been noted, by me at least, several times. because yours works in the space provided and for the rules you race under. The only other way(known as you have pointed out no one has truly tried everything) besides yours to show real gains is the log tube collecting back at the cat. Anyone that has spent any time flowing them or trying some on has found the same. Paul Yaw, Racing Beat, Hymee(of the ones he tried) etc. Racing Beat legitimately makes some with the header they have out if you combine it with their whole engine back system. But it basically does what your log does in a "prettier" fashion.

Fred's quote? sure , it was long ago and without allot of the info needed. However outside of yours really its the only way(known) to make a header and see decent(relative of course) gains by itself

It is not like this: O OO O
-------------------- V VV V

---- It is like this: O oo O
-------------------- V vv V

but with the zero overlap X-factor it is essentially irrelevant anyway ...

lol--good diagram--and it does sum it up.
The star Mazda set up ( intake and exhaust) is neat. Different world--but it does show thought.

Lol--now there is an idea.
Sorry I should have been more specific.
I didnt want to begin with a cookie cutter tubular header. So if a certain deal works out I will have something much more specific.
It will have a burns collector--type lenght etc details to be determined by Burns. I will be using the Mazsport midpipe --its 3 inches inside the resinator-- with one of them removed, will use V band connectors throughout. I will be paying very close attention to all transitions.
I dont know if I will continue with the RB catback or not at this time. I think it will be a matter of give/take concerning it
This is a DD car with some Track day use. Yall know my engine set up..
