Headers

What are the best headers for a 05 RX8? I see everyone getting exhaust systems but seems to me you also need a header to maximize the exhaust system.

From what I can tell, the best headers for any amount of money are made by Eric Meyer's race team; but they are purported to be insanely expensive.

The header I have been thinking of does not exist (no one that I know of has made one like I am thinking). I was thinking of a 2 into 1 header for the front and rear exhaust ports and nothing more than an exhaust crossover between the two, or perhaps a 2 into 1 at the front of the catalytic convertor (put the wide-band oxygen sensor on the middle exhaust) and put two exhaust temperature sensors, one on each of the front and rear pipes.

Wait for BHR's header. Not sure how close they are to releasing it but it will be worth the wait.

racing beat used to make a 4 tube header, with separate pipes for the split center ports, but didnt find much added benefit.

I have seen BHR's header but I do not want to say anything. If I was NA then that is the way I'd go. Hard to beat BHR's quality, service and results.

If you want something now, get the Racing Beat header. I have it; great quality and works as intended.

if you want to wait a little bit for a better option then hold out for the BHR header (which will require a custom midpipe btw)

I, too am a believer in BHR. But I'd love to see a pic of their header or something because at this point it seems to be vaporware.

Any info out there on it?

I have a full pic of the header. I did not want to post it without permission. If Charles does not mind then I will post it

I'm excited. I've been waiting on picking up a header/mid pipe because I want to see what you guys had brewing. Any idea if this product will be in production before September?

I'm admittedly a sucker for a nice header design. Coming from a piston engine background, I really get a kick out of seeing rotary header design.

EDIT: My dick just moved.

I would love a BHR header, but I have to wait and see how loud it is. not sure if there will be room left for a resonator!

For optimum performance, I think it needs to be longer before the collector.

lol if it delivers like it should, I'd deal with a bit of cabin buzz.

I'm also very interested in this header/midpipe. Hopefully there will be a version of the mid-pipe with a catalytic converter as with the current BHR midpipe.
