If I didn't care about warranty why would I waste my time asking these questions?

"Search is your friend"

I have been searching the forums for the last few days, soon has my clutch gave. But I couldn't find post on the clutchmaster, some of threads seem outdated, didn't answer my questions fully or I need clarification. I started this thread hoping someone , who know about these parts, could guide me to the right parts so I don't waste my money.
but somehow you know that the ms clutch is not in the us????? how did you figure it out??

what do you want... tell me what clutch... i will have a link for you and make all this go away.... unless it is clutchmaster. it is on ebay you are on your own...

"but somehow you know that the ms clutch is not in the us????? how did you figure it out??"

I don't understand what you mean. From my understanding there is a only jap-spec mazdaspeed clutch, and there is no usa mazdaspeed clutch. I was asking if there was usa spec one, I knew some sites carried the japan one; but I was hopeing there was usa one that I missed some where. I am just trying to get much information before I order. I posted this to get help, since I don't know anything about clutches and flywheel. If you don't want to help just don't post in this thread and it go away by itself.

i am trying to help, but you never give enough info... the ms flywheel in the usa is the same as the one in japan.... as is the clutch...

i have to admit i have not seen the ms clutch for sale anywhere, but i dont know all.

to cut to the chase, most of the clutches and pp out are made by exdeedy... the stock clutch is...

what would i recomend.. and name brand stage one clutch and pp... act,
exdeedy

really dont think it matters much....

now the one on ebay i dont know....
clutchmaster might be fine... it is made by someone else, but who?

btw, if your stock clutch took a dump at 25k. you are riding the clutch or have some other bad habit that you need to unlearn...

i am at 48k miles and mine is still strong, and i dont know how many times i have launched it at ~5k feathering it to avoid wheelspin... the stock clutch is strong.

How is it strong? Some may be good but other stockers failed to cope. I burned on my own my first clutch set at 2800 km and my second set gave up without pressing it at 18000km. As for the question in the thread: Don't buy anything that has carbon unless you carry 300whp under your your hood. Carbon just doesn't warm up!

strong is it has held up to what i have done to it.... also lots of turbos running it....

the issuse with this clutch... a couple of bad disks, and some loose pp bolts.... most have been taken care of by dealer....

if this clutch has failed you.... you have bad driving habits, or had the odd bad unit. which should be covered by warranty....

the whole carbon issuse is just silly.... a stage 1 clutch will stand up to 300whp...

carbon is something for the track....

Will putting in a new clutch, like an after market one from Spec stage 2, make that whirling noise stop when my clutch is released in neutral? Just a thought.....

I am not a racer but want a clutch that will last and take a beating if need be. I bought my car used with 40K on it. It is a 2004 Rx-8.

Thanks!

Justin

I have had the ACT Street/Strip for 10k miles and am very happy with it.

If you're changing out the clutch might as well get a flywheel as well. I have the ACT Prolite and I love it.

I have ACT clutch in my car for hmm almost 10K miles ? I dont remember.

the disc is the same as stock, I think. its just that the PP is stronger.

IMO the setup is ok.

Im planning to replace the clutch again when I hit 40K, now Im at 33 going 34. I just want to try different setup. Thinking about maybe the whole Autoexe setup (FW + Clutch)

If you cared about your Warranty, why would you be looking at getting a Supercharger?!
