See, that's just the kind of stuff I'm talking about. My car runs fine the way it is, I don't want them messing with it. Especially since a new flash won't do anything anyhow, as Scott pointed out.

I'm not sure if the flash is what caused it to all of a sudden start doing this, but it never happened before the new flash.

Hey Scud,
I don't believe you can opt out of the flash if they are doing the recall since it is part of it. I've actually heard very good things about the latest flashes but be warned if you are hoping to avoid it that you may not be able.

New flashes are definitely NOT good if you are running the emanage. I don't think we know exactly why yet, could just be A LOT tuning is required (of course) but I wonder if there is more to it than that - like changing when the ECU goes open loop.

I have unfortunately have the R flash. I have spoken to the service manager at my dealership in NJ and he said it was OK if I requested no additional flashes. A service writer made a notation on my file which he said will come up any time the car is in for service and it states the customer does not want future flashes. If I only knew this before.
