sounds like the track is gonna be nice....and hard on a left front tire. I have a suspicion there will be some tire rotating going on in the GA RX-8 Club pits this coming weekend. I am looking forward to it being smooth though, it was really rough in May, and caused me to think I had a busted front suspension part or something. So smooth is good by me.

TA, good to hear you got your confirmation, did she mention if I managed to get you as an instructor?

I got the generic confirmation email for Instructors/Instructor Clinic so there was no additional info. On the NASA forums Jim posted that HPDE1 andd 2 are almost full and they need instructors. Maybe I end up with 2 students my first time out in the right seat.

Hope we get that vid this week!!!

 

I am sure you will do fine in the right seat with anyone they assign you to. I just hope I am one of them. This grasshopper has a lot to learn, maybe I need to be in DE 1.

Just talked to Steve Eckerich. Things did no go well for him at roebling. Was moving into 2nd place and hit oil on track from IT7 car going into 1. Went for a ride with minimal damage but was able to get in, get things pulled out of the way and finish but no championship this year. He is going to send me a tape from last years race for your viewing pleasure.

 

TA I talked to Jim P. in Chicago when we were waiting to go to Charlotte. We both conferred, you are going to be fine. Just keep a sharp eye on your sh*tometer, and the rest will fall into place. I am making every effort to get down there, but right now, it is still 50/50. I want to come down for one last ditch effort, but.........

the whole show starts at about 8 a.m. both days. The NASA website will have the details on where the track is, if you don't know where it is. As of yesterday, the official schedule was still not posted.

Hope to see you out there! My sh*tometer has been recalibrated after Rockingham early this summer and has been functioning very well since. I got an email from Julie today. Looks like I will be the only one in the Instructor Clinic so it will be a level I clinic (perfect). I will have 1 HPDE2 student but she did not say who it would be. I guess L8APEX unless they want me to instruct someone I dont already know.
Anyway I am looking forward to it. I figure I will be in HPDE3 so I can run with OD.
