The time is up for discussion. I will be at Mazcare at 8 for some routine work, but then will head home to pack the car up. I think that meeting OD in Macon around 2 again would be a great idea, to miss ATL Friday traffic.
Thoughts, comments...
I know Phlash has a few things to do that morning, but he is staying in Atlanta Thursday night. If possible, lets try to get our 3 cars from here to leave around 12:30 or 1:00, and try to be in Macon at an exit of OD's choosing, around 2:00-2:30. That would put us at the track around 5:00-5:30, right about the time it should be opening up for us. That will give us plenty of time to get our good paddock spot, and get prepped for tech.
Thoughts anyone?

ok, enough
and i am SOOOOOOOO ready for some track. I think I am going to do my pads and rotors tonight, just because I cant' stand it anymore, and it might rain all weekend.
won a rear set of stop tech rotors off ebay for $110 for BOTH (from Vivid racing so I know they are legit)--and new Bobcats on the back. Oh yea got some kumho st's for my street tires now. Had a cut in one of my o40's ---unrepairable and i didnt want anymore o40's

squeeeeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaaakkkkkkkkkkkkk.
Thats right...
The hawk's are back in town, the hawks are back in towowowown, the hawks are back in town.
Now I have to pick all my stuff up off the floor board of the passenger side. I love the way these things stop. My new tires don't, they don't have the grip under braking that the Azenis did. Oh well, they are street tires.
In less thatn 168 hours, we will have gotten to the track, gotten some track, and be ready for more.

Looks like the weather is going to be good for y'all. Enjoy the new track surface hopefully they stepped up to the smooth stuff that's easy on tires.
Make sure you take lots of pics and vids.
Cheerio!

I talked to Charlie on Friday. His friend is racing this weekend at Roebling in an ITA car. THe track report from Friday is tha the surface is green (in racing terms) but that it has shitloads of grip. Sounds good! He was turning laps that were as fast as he has in the past except he was on old tires on Friday. Can't wait to check it out for myself in less than a week.
You guys all have a great time and like TA2 said - we want to see pictures. Also, give us some feedback on the new track surface. I will be thinking of you guys next weekend while I am working in PA
More Roebling track reports from Z06Racer on the NASA-SE forum...
I'm racing at Roebling this weekend in the SCCA SIC championships. Man is this track smooth!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! What a difference You guys are gonna like it. In the afternoon qualifying session all of a sudden lots of cars were blistering the left front tire. Tire temps on a T1 Z06 hit 280, and he tore up a brand new left front Kumho. I got the left front to 210 and blistered a brand new slick.
Maybe there will be some more rubber laid down by the time NASA comes..but watch that left front.

ITS pole position in 1.8 litre miata...........1:20 and change! The 2 RX7's that I tuned or build trannies for are in top 5 on grid. Steve is going to send me in car from his 7. He has a very good chance of winning this one.
