I saw this and it made me laugh so I wanted to share it with everyone. Actually, WRX boy sent it to me.

To echo what Red said, I had a blast, all y'all were good as gold and made us feel so welcome! 2000 miles later I have to work on the video I have, and hopefully I'll have that up and running soon!

RSD, if you would like to put up a gallery on the garx8club site, put it here: http://garx8club.com/phpBB/modules.p...view_album.php

Make a new album with a title of "Photos by: RedSheDevil" and dump what you would like to share in there. The same way Tim Benton's is done.

The photographer at the event, Wes Duenkel, has his up on his site. The web site is the same as his name. Any one got any video of me you can send me? I'll pay royalty fees if needed
Here's my e-mail address - tj93rx7@charter.net

I am claiming a ride with you at Roebling. Your driving is excellent and you really keep your head in traffic. It sure is busy out there when you have a helmet on so your peripheral vision is obstructed and traffic is moving at 100+. There is no such thing as mainting your lane either so if you dive bomb someone into turn 1 and they didn't see you... ouch.
Still, I want a ride in May.
His driving is so good that I didn't even know that the brake pedal went to the floor into 10A. I just thought he went in a little deeper than usual before getting on the brakes.

Those videos are great but they don't do it justice. I rode with STF during his final session Saturday evening. It'd be hard to describe the intensity of that ride. Three wide through one was exhilirating. Three wide through 12 was insane. I've never experienced anything quite like that before and I loved every minute of it.

Your videos are pretty awesome too, TA. You were carrying some serious speed around the track.

I hope you can make Roebling now that you know you don't have a conflict with instructing the SVT club. I would love to follow you around the track and learn from you. It was a fun weekend and I think I made the right decision to go with STF's recommendation to take the next step. HPDE3 is a whole new ball game and mighty exciting I might add. I can wait a long long time before I do a 3 wide turn 1. I can wait a lifetime before a 3 wide through 12 ever happens.

STF, I can't comprehend the concentration that is required for anyone to drive with your ability. I was truly speechless watching your vid.

ok, i just watched half of one of STF's vids, for those that have not, PUT ON YOUR SEAT BELT AND DO IT NOW! Holy crap, that is insane, the speed, the concentration, the traffic, and damn you shift so fast, the car may not even know it happened. That was fun just watching.

The other thing about STF vids - the EVO seeems so sstiffly sprung that it launches over the curbing at the apex of 5. Good stuff.
13.5 years to go...

Impressive vids from all ya'll. I am truly sorry I did not get up there to cheer you on. I did get a lot of work done and I am still under the gun with all the projects and my 7 isn't even on the slate yet (still at Mandevilles). I can't wait to get out there w/ya'll soon in either car but I am REALLLLLLY anxious to finish the monster. I did get my PS2's for the 8 today and all I can say is WOW! I have to let them get broken in a little before giving them a real tryout but so far they are the nicest driving tire I have ever experienced.

Thanks to everyone for your continued support and enthusiasm, sorry to have missed meeting the folks from outta town. See you all soon.

Chas

I checked the date for the SVT event and it is Saturday the 20th. It's a one day event so I'm considering leaving TGPR Saturday evening and driving to Roebling to at least make Sunday with NASA. I'm figuring the drive from TGPR to Roebling will be about 4-5 hours. Does that sound about right? Hopefully, I can make it to a hotel room and fall into bed by 11 or 11:30.

I'd enjoy doing some lead/follow with you. Dave and I have had a lot of fun doing that at Roebling.

Maybe Nabil will play nice, you know I end up leading more than following. Something about seeing a car, and playing fetch.

STF, how much of the driving skill you have can be contributed to a learned skill and how much is natural skill. I know in my creative environment, some people can work all their life and never really compare to some kid coming straight out of school in natural talent. It's eaiser for some people and I have to wonder if getting to the point of maximum concentration and full body coordination is something you must be born with and just need to develop.

I would guess it is closer to 5 hours. I hope you do make it as the lead/follow would be an awesome learning opportunity.
