Ok all you homeless trackers, listen up. Just called the Comfort Inn to get a room. But, alas, I was late and the only thing they have left is SMOKING double rooms. Not me. They did give me the number for the Jameson a couple blocks away.
Fortuitous because they still have rooms available. Non-smoking King room for only a couple bux more than the special rate (only $65/night). See y'all at RA!!

Well,
Guys and girls--the news is in and it aint good. My wife will be having a mastectomy (simple) with precautionary node bx on 3/7. It could be worse. As far as the disease process itself we should be ok. Prognosis is excellant at this point. However it is a big, big thing.
Heck I told my wife that with the reconstruction techiques available today that we can do a "design your own" by christmas! WHat a Christmas present! ---just trying yo keep her spirits up
.
I will be at RA -she would not hear of me NOT going. (Reminded once more why I married her 20 yrs ago). Thanks for all ya'll's support and prayers.
I may not be posting much for a while--yall take care and keep the rotors going.

OD - I am sorry to read your update on the Mrs. I will be keeping her in my prayers for a successful treatment program. If there is ANYTHING I can do, please don't hesitate to ask. Thats why you have friends.
OD,
Sorry to hear about the news. The good news is, the prognosis is positive. Please tell her we're all thinking of her and that she has a lot of prayers. I saw my grandmother go through it and my mother have a bad scare from it. She was in a very similar situation. Please tell her that we're here if you all need ANYTHING, I mean it.

Hey OD (voices from Chicago and beyond have invaded your thread) ...
Very glad to hear they caught it early and prognosis is great. I have an aunt who is a survivor from 2 decades ago. Modern medicine surely is a wonderful thing. Keep up the good work of keeping her spirits up. A lot more people are thinking of you two than you probably know .... big hugs to both you and the Mrs.
