Gauging interest.... Huge get together in SE area..

I just came back from going to INDY for Rotary Revolution..

I was somewhat disappointed.. mainly due to weather..

Wondering how many of you might be interested in having something like that here in SE area..

I am especially interested in how many of you might be interested in doing a driving school at the Barber Motorsport Park.

Price will be around 275-375, and will be 2 day event.

As some of you track people know.. Barber is top notch track in the USA.. maybe in the world..

I'm glad you guys started to post..

I been getting few suggestions from the RX7 owners.. and obviously money is a big issue..

One possibility is going with little Talladaga.. Its cheaper and pretty decent track.. Not Barber though.. Cost for the Little Talladaga will be around $125-175 one day.. and spots will be limited.. depend on the interest, we will start pricing out tracks and dates... Me and others want this to be big as Rotary Revolution... around 150-250 cars.. 2 day events with ton of vendors.

FYI, the Mazda Rev it Up comes to Atlanta at the end of June.
I'm also attending Rev it Up in ATL..

This event will be end of this year or beginning of next..

If we do Little Talladaga, we could definitely do it end of this year.. But at Barber, it has to be sometime next year... And Me and Stephen would need to raise enough money to put a down payment on the track ($10K+)..

I would be very interested. I'm going to miss the Rev it Up in Atlanta, but this sounds better anyway. As for the cost, my rule is if it costs less than 4 strakes (installed) for 2 days of fun, I simply don't care about the money.

Its good to hear that We are getting interest in this event..

Once we get 100+ interest, I'm going to contact Mazda USA about getting a sponsorship. Renting out Barber track isn't easy and lot of things must be considered.. ie; insurance...

Absolutely interested. I am in the same group as some above, date dependant. And, even then, getting off of work for any period of time is next to impossible where I am.

As for the school, sure! All for a driving school, too.
