Yep, you need to head over to Georgia RX-8 Club and register. Keep your same username so I know who you are. Post a note here to jog me and I'll activate you.

Guys, I sold my RX-8 several months ago and bought a 2015 Tacoma. I will probably not be coming back here so I just wanted to say adios to everyone. It was a great 9 years of owning my car and driving the crap out of it. It loved every minute of it and I kept her up with love and care. She was awesome on track at Road Atlanta, Barber Motorsport Park, Roebling Road and Carolina Motorsport Park and although engines were an issue, handling was awesome. She went to a young man that will take care of her, I'm sure. Y'all have a great time modding, tracking and all those things that go along with the RX-8 that make it a special car.

Thanks man. I'll chat with the other admins/mods and see if I can get them to pick up where I left off. I'm still an admin there since I was one of the founding team. Yea, I'm looking in other directions now as I'm getting close to retirement in 2017. I need to focus on my home repairs and getting my finances in order. A truck is definitely in line for what I need to do. Plus, I actually love driving it now. Kind of nice just chill'n on the way to work and back home. I really do love it.

I also drove a 1998 E36 M3 convertible which I just sold about 3 weeks ago. So I'm totally out of the sports car business. What a change. It's kind of like after the 2010 Time Trials season was over, I was pretty much worn out on tracking, the cost, and driving fast. I was driving beyond both mine and the car's limits and was very lucky to make it out without a major incident since I didn't have a roll cage. The past 4 years have have been a big change for me. I truly enjoyed the experience of owning the RX-8 and would not give anything for it. I't s just time for me to move on. I'll check in occasionally, I'm sure.

 

Anybody in or around the Atlanta area? I just moved to the North Atlanta area from Indiana and I'm bored out of my mind outside of work. I'd definitely be down to cruise or whatever.

Finally joined the forum after looking at it for a year or so now. I think I can finally afford an 8 just waiting for the right one to appear. Want to thank you all for the massive amount of information that you have accumulated and shared. Looking forward to getting rid of my Fusion.
