I got my 8 about two months ago, have met one other owner so far, and he is new to the board too. Perhaps we could meet up and go for a drive sometime.

I have been guilty of not being able to meet up for a while now - busy with the whole new mom thing and just celebrated daughter's first birthday.

I'll see if I can come hang if we do a day meet on a weekend and I'm free.

 

well, I sent a meeting request on facebook to the few on here that I have on my list. Looking to do a meet and greet of sorts Saturday night. Up for any place, as long as its on this side of the river XD.

yes, we jacksonvillians do seem to be quite lazy. It seems we need a little motivation, and riskybusiness who seemed to be the driving force here sold his 8. I'll be going to the monthly cars n cafe in orlando on the 31st of july and it seems like the perfect pick me up for us since we can never get anything done.

I know everyone was wanting to go for a cruise and lunch we had talked about, so it seems this will suffice AND its already been organized!

I cruised in a small caravan of g35s to the last one

There was a huge variety of cars there, but not enough rx8. i figured, since we Jacksonvillians are slacking in the community participation aspect of owning 8's, why not show our smiling faces in orlando and meet up with the central florida crew there. should be expecting some tamparx8ers too.

A few of the guys have suggested in other threads a little meet up at sonic this saturday july 10th. since none of us really know each other yet, sounds like a good idea to get acquainted. and we can brainstorm on a time n place to meet up for orlando.I'll be getting to sonic around 10-1030 cuz i work till 945 or so. figured there'd be room for us all in the bank parkin lot next door where there's already a small rotary group of fcs and a couple fds

well i should deffly make it to sonic this saturday, i guess i'll come around 10 or little earlier. i've been to sonic a few times and its very ricey but a good start for us. argyle is another meet up scene but with less rice and more muscle. we can try and plan that one saturday.

 

I can't make it this Saturday guys, sorry. I'm in St. Petersburg till Sunday watching my sister in the Miss Florida pageant (Wish her luck! The top 10 are competing tonight to go to Miss America).
I'm definitely up for next Saturday though or if anyone is free during the week I would love to grab coffee or lunch with someone and then go for a drive.

I'll be up at 10, and I will try to park in the JEA lot. In regards to argyle, I have been twice, and it sucked both times. It doesnt really get started till almost midnight, and it is over a 30 minute drive to get there. Plus both times I went, people were getting drunk in the parking lot and smoking those "herbal cigarettes" (lol). It was also a sea of civics and integras, all of them wanting to drag race. (for some reason it bothers me when people turn cars made to turn into drag cars that can't turn. Not hating, dont get mad). So as for Argyle, if it is a BIG rotary turnout, I will go, but if not, not so much.

I'll see everyone who can make it tonight!

It was a pleasure! and no need to feel like an outsider on the knowledge thing, I grew up taking cars apart and I still have to start over with the wankel motor. Its a fun learning experience!
