How bout we put the coils in then go to the meet? What part of town do you live on, I am almost right across the street from the avenues. I plan on changing my oil that morning before I head over.

 

That's quite alright, we plan on staying in high RPMs the whole trip anyway

 

Does anyone know an inexpensive good quality place to get tint done? And any suggestions on what tint levels are good? What are the legal levels? I've heard different levels from a bunch of people.

havent actually had my car done by him, but have seen his work and its good. He was my neighbor for a while. In terms of tint, I always tell the person doing it, as dark as is legal.

 

I have always used Advanced Window Tinting on Hood Rd off of Philips. They have done numerous cars and a huge office building for me. Not sure if they are the cheapest, but have never dissapointed! Hope to see some of you tomorrow @ the Avenues. Look for the Orange Challenger & say "Hey".

 

sorry wish i read the post earlier but got the coils put in, thanks to my girls small hands cuz otherwise it couldn't have been done. the car runs like nothing ever before. it starts right up with no hesitation. no hesitation in low rpm and the reaction of the car is way better. felt like i did 0-80 in 6sec lol

well the legal tint in fl is 32% up front and 20% in the back. on my maxima i had 20% all around and was not dark enough.

on my 8 right now i have 10% all around and have had it for almost two years now and never had any problems with cops. i almost want to go 5% but very happy the way my car looks with 10% and no hassle from cops. at night in streets with no lights i do have trouble seeing when making a turn but i see enough to make the turn.

i've had my maxima done at mandarin shop and my 8 i had a buddy come and do it and both have lifetime warranty on any defects

 

Woohoo! Well good news, I find an RX-8 here locally I'm looking into getting. I've done all the research on it I can online and not only does it have everythign I want (which was pretty much only a 6speed stick) but is also in the color I want. Hopefully I can go check it out in person in the next couple days and take it for a spin. If all goes well and I can get enough cash saved up for a downpayment I should have it within a month.

not of topic at all!!! Congrats(almost ) Have you seen online the list of things to look for when buying a rotary? VERY important stuff, for sure. What color are you looking for?

 

Unfortunatly I went to the place yesterday and they wouldn't finance me. Said I needed to make at least $1800 a month to even qualify, which I think is insane, specially for a car only costing 12k. But I'm still looking. And yeah I've been crusing the forums pretty much non-stop for the past two weeks or so.

It's not very organized. Someone needs to take control and start organizing stuff! I was flying down Blanding Blvd with a fellow 8 a few weeks ago. It's funny how true Adam's statement is; when you see another 8 on the road you instantly abandon route and take off after it like it's an action movie. Heheh. Must say it has happened a few times.

 

agreed, and I feel ya on the RX-8 chasedowns, I engage in this quite often, i live near the intersection of baymeadows and san jose, I see sooooooo many in this part of town.

 

Lol, I am usually always free saturday nights after 8. I am up for getting together with some people then. I don't really like the whole Sonics thing, toooo much rice for me. I live at baymedows and southside, I see a white auto around this area quite bit.....
