where would be a good place or where could i find a good motor for my 2004 rx8 it not blown yet but i know it about to really soon please help!!??

 

so I saw a big TX in the title, are you in texas? the car is out of warranty now, so your going to have to buy it outright. You can get a reman from Mazda for 2k after the core charge, but I would go with mazmart or rotary Resurrection for a rebuild.

 

i just moved here from texas a couple mouths ago, and yes it out of warranty, thank you i appreciate it. what best to do reman or rebuilt?

Just bought my '04 6spd a couple months ago and have been loving it!

Any NE FL/J-Ville meets going on anywhere? I'd like to get together with some other rotary owners and learn a few things. I'm a newbie when it comes to these cars, but not a newbie when it comes to car clubs and meets. (I'm also a Mopar/Dodge guy.. long time member)

 

Looking to set up a meet next week anybody else in the area interested?

 

Hey, don't know if we're doing a meet this weekend but some of the guys goto Cars and Coffee downtown. It's always the morning of the 2nd saturday of every month at the Times Union building. Also if you have facebook check out Jacksonville Rotary Owners Club and Jacksonville Mazda Owners Club to keep up on current events going on around town.

Who or where best have an 04 overhauled; engine, exterior, and poss interior? I've neglected mine, sitting in the backyard for 5yrs bcus she was blowing white smoke. I believe it was due to a dealer using the wrong oil (not proven) while on a road trip out-of-state. I'm currently away but am planning my return, afterwards restore the 8. Appreciate any recommendations, guidance, or assistance! I have not been on the club consistently since 2015, lol. Questions are welcomed )
