Chrome Calipers?
Chrome Calipers?
Anyone attempted to get their calipers chromed? Probably adds nastyness to the sprung load, but it might look cool (especially with gloss black powdercoat rims).
I've seen some pics here of people painting their calipers silver, but I've not seen them chromed. I wonder if that would affect brake performance (i.e., causing premature boiling of brake fluid?).
Either way, I think red is the way to go, personally.

if it was purely for show I'd say go for it...but you see how easily the chrome tips of the exhaust get nasty? well the front brake pads/rims/calipers and inner ring of the rotor get nasty quicker then any part of the car
besides Markd made a great point...your essentially insulating the caliper...that can't be good
cool idea though...I'd like to see it on a show car that never moves...but other then that...just use a high gloss silvery paint...you'll get a nice effect
