My 2 yr old RS-3's corded at an event a few weeks back. I'll probably be at the BRR vs VMSC event at VMP in November driving moxnix's G-stock MSP.

 

Ah, I should be down there for that one as well, I'll be rocking my 8 at it. Feel free to stop by and say hey. Oh, and give any pointers, haha.

This weekend will be the last time I run in C-Stock though..

I usually avoid autox events on a track surface Seen too many incidents resulring from people driving too fast into a forced slow down manuever with minimal runoff surface before getting into the dirt, ditch, or wall.

 

Just make sure you drive slow through those sections!

Yep, saw it happen at Roebling at an autox event there maybe 10 years ago, kid in an Integra on street tires overcooked it, went off the track surface and into the ditch, car rolled over onto the driver side but fortunately not all the way over. It obviously ruined his day, hate to see that.

We had a car roll onto it's roof. I don't remember any mechanical fault.
You don't have to be at high speeds to get into trouble.

 

dont HAVE to be at high speeds but it definitely accelerates things

It mostly has nothing to do with speed, the incident I mentioned was probably only 30 or 40 miles per hour. When you put a slalom or offset maneuver on a 50 foot wide track surface it doesn't provide much room for correction before you are off the racing surface and into the dirt. They usually happen as a result of some inexperienced driver trying to be a hero and save the run rather than accepting their mistake and giving it up.
