I am waiting until after i move to San Diego here in couple weeks. I didnt tailor my setup to fit the STX class, its just the class my current setup falls under Here it is:
-Tein S springs over Tokico Dspecs
-17x9 FNO1R-C w/ 245/45 RE-O1R's
-RP supercat w/ Greddy Sp2 catback
-Racing Brake slotted front rotors, SS brake lines F+R
-Exedy Stage 1 clutch
-AFE Short Shifter
-EfiDude reflash

I am confused. Wouldn't the SS brake lines put you in Street Prepared? I was told by several people as well as looking in the SCCA Handbook. Was told i can run in STO6 or SP. I am running SP with:
-Tanabe springs
-17x9 Work CR Kai w/ 245/45 Khumo XS
-TurboXS Catback w/ Midpipe
-SS brake lines F+R and SS Clutch line
-Stoptech Pads
-Cobb AP w/MM tunes

Sitting in 4th 0.56s from 1st, the Toyos slide all over the place on this slick sealed asphalt surface, but for some reason Hankooks and Yokohamas stick well here even in 50 - 60 degF temps. Not much of an autox course, really just a mini road course of sweepers/straights and the BMWs are on top with their 70 mph 2nd gear rev limit

my best run:

Just a local SCCA event on Saturday. This is my first season of autox and only my 4th event. Feel free to check out my other videos on my channel to critique my noobish driving.

This was my first event on Bilstein PSS9's.

Day 2 of the SWDiv event. I had nothing for the leader/winner, but managed to jump ahead of the 2nd and 3rd place cars from Day 1. Unfortunately, the winners co-driver who was nipping on my heals Saturday, leap frogged me into 2nd. I finished in 3rd place 0.143 sec behind him.

My best run from Sunday:

Good damn job Mark, still looks like you were a champ out there to me. :D

Also you mentioned the BMW's having the advantage in terms of 2nd gear speed limit at 70MPH... ever thought to raise your redline via the COBB? *innocent whistle* just a thought... with my 4.777 rear end and 9,700 redline, I top out at 69MPH..so I'm pretty pleased with that. :D

This event is not worth the engine wear from spinning it that high, which with the 23.8" OD tire I was using it would have to be 10k to hit that speed. 3rd place gives me $100 in Toyo contingency, which paid for my entry and other expenses since the event is only 15 minutes from where I live. They weren't just beating me on terminal straight line speed, but also sweeper speed. I will be going back to a taller/wider tire size.

I've been trying the 245/35-17 which is only available in the Toyo R1R, great tire for short tight courses, but gives up too much overall grip on fast open courses, its just too narrow for a 9" wheel as it runs way out on the gum strip on the outer corner of the tire construction

Is anyone else planning on going to the Toledo NT on July 4th weekend?

Price. I had a budget and i maxed it with the wheels pretty much. I had just enough for the tires.

Great comeback on Sunday Mark. I don't think they could have designed a better course to neutralize all the strengths of the R32 We peaked at 71.5mph on day 2 according to maxq data. Not bad considering the top of 2nd gear is 59mph.

The contingency is based on your position at the end of the series - "Cash awards are presented to the 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place drivers in the final standings
for their divisional championship; provided that the division is participating in the 2011"

Best of luck in Lincoln. Looking forward to seeing texas region represent!

I will be needing new tires about midseason and want to drop down to 17 inch rims. This is for a 2004 GT that currently is running 18 inch rims. Would appreciate recommendations for rims and tires so I can start saving up for the purchase. Any recommendations on rims or even better any used ones for sale. Looking for 9 inch width also so I can get the max amount of rubber on the ground. I am finally moving up in index for my region but still not there.
