NSX VS Rx8 on a track?
Good Luck!!
I love my 8 and she runs great, but this obviously goes without saying the NSX is by far the superior machine.
The technology and research alone put into the development of the NSX practically exeeds any other stock car on the street. She is one of the true beauties!
Kartweb was right is saying the car has more power that the factory rating, Especially the '95 and newer NSX's. Your turbo and suspension definitely close the gap. Being that the NSX is a '91 bodes well for you also. The '95 and newer NSX's especially the last few years were just plain and simple a better car.
Again, the final analysis is the same. If he is the better superior driver you have no chance. If you are his equal it would be fun to watch!!

Good thread. I'll stay tuned. Tough luck for the RX8, since it usually relys on its superior handling to best the opposition, but that seems a little null and void in this match up. Don't let it lose to a Honduh!
my set up is very close to yours and i think nos is not a big deal on a track (at least not to your turbo rx8) unless it's drag racing or the track has a lot of straights.
i have not raced nsx yet on track, but evo8s, sti, m3, & 350z. be confident about your 8. get a set of r-compound tires like the r-888, ra-1, or a048 to fully untilize your turboed power. run 255 size or up on 18 in rims.

The RX-8 on track with 325 WHP is smokin fast. It is a big adjustment in driving technique though...when the turbo kicks in at corner exit it is hold on tight with both hands .....and pay careful attention to the rear end...it has a nasty habit of wanting to swap ends if you get greedy with the throttle.
Now I just need to fix the fuel pickup problem..at 100 mph on left hand sweepers it just can't keep up

beers
Ya...it's really painful
There were a lot of surprised drivers....they couldn't believe how much faster it was...kinda sucked that I only got to drive half the day before the problems surfaced

oooh ooh, I have experience with this!
It's up to the driver. However, i know that if the driver of the NSX that gave me the point by was really driving the car hard, I'd have been left to stare at his ever distancing taillights.
Those cars are fantastic, but the RX8 is so much fun too
All my RX8 needs, is new tires, and a more ballsy driver!
