Hey, you beat Ryan in CS! Was he on street tires, or something?

JK, looking at the times and PAX, I'd say ULLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLOSE had it goin' on.

Ryan tanked the first day, he was clearly not driving to his normal level. I told him on Sun, after he got back on pace and thumped me, that I was glad to see he forgot all those bad road racing habits that were slowing him down.

Both CS and BS were first run group as well.

It is a shame that he will most likely not make natls, at least not in CS anyway.

First run group? That's even more impressive, SD sucks until the rubber gets put down...

Is Ryan out for Nats because of the TDI Cup making him ineligible? Or is it a schedule conflict?

Schedule... He has to be in Iowa sometime Friday for the drivers meeting. He said maybe if he was first run group he could make it work. But with so many ifs the car owner has not made plans to take the car out. Of course it could also go out on the Socal transporter, I guess there is a group getting an 18 wheeler again.

He may look at a tues-wed ride.

I would think a TDI cup driver would do himself a favor by finding a VW something to drive, and do well in, at natls. But there are not to many competitive Vdubs in Solo. Although..... DS is wide open Bartek gone, an R32 might not be a bad ride for him.

Aw, what's the fun of doing it in private, when you have the chance to do it in public?

You slogging it down to El Toro?

I think he had to take his wheels home to mount up the 305s, but he is on the entry list.

It's too late to sign up, huh?

edit: nevermind...who am I kidding, there's no way I can go, even if they'd let me register late.

So, I hear that at the end of day one, ULLLLLLLOSE had about .4 on Bryan Heitcotter in the turbo mr2, followed closely by another SFR member, Zach Heideprem (who has been really picking it up in his RX8) and then Team RX8. Also, Jason and Bryan both benefitted by reruns on their 3rd runs?

It'll be interesting to see how things finished up today...I heard the courses were fantastic, 3rd gear in the '8, and that it was a really fun event, but that they did have a major timing issue which caused a big delay, yesterday...sounds like a National, not Divisional, event on that basis...

I don't know the details because I wasn't able to watch the group, but Bryan was able to get Jason yesterday to take the weekend by a couple tenths. I heard something about Jason getting a little out of shape on his last run.
