Cal Club Divisional

Cal Club Divisional
El Toro is always a great place to run, you have the flexibility to do anything you want, and can push the speed envelope.
The Sat course was a series of drag-strips linked together with a variety of 180s, two of them first gear turns. When I left the starting line I was floored until I hit 72mph in 3rd gear (according to the official with the radar gun) the rest of the course was all 1st and 2nd. Looked a lot like an AAS course.
Sun the course drove very differently reversed, the transitions were more effective in controlling speeds, never needed 3rd, and now the two tight 180s were softened, and 1st could not be used.
Bryan drove great, he has certainly found some speed with the new setup on that MR2T. Bryan drilled the class on Sun and took the event by .2. Unfortunately for him, someone decided to make all three events in the series count for points, and he did not go to SD, so the fastest guy ended up tied for second, while I got the Championship and $1050 to go with it.

Props to Bryan, he can wheel with the best of 'em, for sure. I'm also glad to see he now has mr. 2T back in shape...on one hand, it's a bummer I no longer run BS in our region, now that Bryan is up and running...on the other hand, if I did, I'd probably be receiving too much smack down for my fragile ego to handle...speaking of which, props also to ULLLLLLOSE for being graceful in defeat, even posting the results before they were publicly available. That's strong.
How did the rest of the class shake out?
Any other "big news" from the divisional? Did Leslie skirt the SS boys, again?

*** was leading SS on Sat, but Thomason beat them like a red headed stepchild on Sun.
The big show was ASP... Motonishi had no clean runs on Sun, and still crushed ASP. Botkin took ESP by like 4.5 over your Norcal boys. Strange event, so many dirty runs and times in the 70-80 sec range, all of the classes I announced for were blood baths, none of them even close on time.
Zach continued to impress on Sat, but fell off a bit on Sun. The 295s are still performing great for TRX8.

Had your candy @ss came down you would know the results, and would have likely won FS (which actually made a class).

Lets just say some clubs are not as efficient as others when it comes to posting results. Because both cal club and SD each use a different club to run each event you can see results in one day, or three weeks. Not sure who is doing these.

I wish I had been able to swing El Toro. I don't know about winning FS, but at least you could have given me a hug, seeing as you missed me so much

The 295's felt really good on that surface, I would not say those were what was holding anyone back.
Congrats to Bryan on some great runs and for winning the ElToro & GGF events; and to Jason for winning the series, that's a nice payout.
Andy and Teres McKee were on fire in the SM2 rx7, in the last run group on Sunday. Did I hear Andy was top in pax?

Had Cone Motonishi been clean on his last, or maybe any, of his Sun runs he would have taken pax. I think he was .2 off of Andy raw on Sun.

My issues have nothing to do with the car or tires. My results are the end product of totally pathetic driving, nothing more I've never considered myself a great driver, but this is probably the worst I've driven since my early years in the sport
The multi-National RX-8 Champion getting beat 2 for 2 by an MR2T would be better served to spend his time putting up rock shields on his own glass house

Why does that sound somehow familiar...oh yeah, that's what I was telling you after San Diego and Atwater, last year...
JK, I know what you are talking about...you've actually won two out of the four events in which you've run against Bryan...not just two out of the four days in the divisional series

Hey, that's not nice...I already had cleared up Team's statement for you, being the good guy I am, and you come back with this? Besides, I didn't "try and claim victory" in any way, I was just looking at the positives. As a relative newbie to autocross, every time I was able to run faster on the day than you or Matthew (or any of the other really fast BS guys we ran with last year), I was pleasantly surprised and it gave me the motivation to keep trying. Hopefully, that motivation will eventually lead me to the consistency and speed to actually win a big event against top competition.
