Not to go on a rant, but...
I still can't believe a 55 shot or a full turbo setup is netting a 97mph trap. For all the excuses and disappointments, there should be a balance of "factory freaks" and success stories that are difficult to replicate, but yield good quarter mile numbers. You can't find those. Nobody raises the BS flag to a quarter mile time around here, because nobody has to.

the problem with the Turbo cars is probably, and this is a guess of course, traction. wcs even admitted he didnt even heat his tires up, and he started spraying in first gear, and his R/T was pretty slow off the ball. Those are obvious places to work on. Work on his R/T, DO PRE-HEAT the tires, and I have found that its best to wait till 2nd or 3rd to spray due to wheel spin. Wheels spinning looks cool, but isnt getting you there faster

R/T has nothing to do with a good Elapsed Time.
The timer does not begin to clock time until the wheels clear the beam.
Having a good R/T is important when you're running vs. an opponent, yet it has nothing to do with running against the clock.
As for the traction theory....
Even if the car was spinning off the line, 97mph trap speed is not a good indication of power being made (or lack thereof). Usually, even with poor traction, a healthy car will post a good mph trap speed at the end of the run. The dismal 60' time is probably an indication of a bog in this case. A bog will usually lower the mph at the trap.

if you are running the MM turbo upgrade kit, with NO2, and at least decent setup on suspension you should be into the mid 13s easy. Stock 8's with a good driver net 14.8-14.5 depending on conditions...

A decent setup with a turbo is yeilding a low 14. That's all I see.
Prove it.
