Ok... not sure how the hell I didnt notice this before.. but question for you guys.. how come pontiac is running this GXP-R instead of the GTO-R? The car looks like the G6 and totaly outa place in this field.

advertising, and i believe its a tube frame chassis. GM wanted advertise G6 instead of GTO-R i guess.

okay, maybe for the yellow flag, the RX-8 is now 5th, and it just refueled not too long ago as bern posted. some good news

hmmm are there any advantages the rx-8s have over the leading porsches? i think the 3-rotors out there are the lightest in the GT field, perhaps better for the brakes and tire wear?... hmm time will tell.

randy pobst is damn fast..............................

he put a gap on the cars behind him already, after the #70 got into 5th

This is not your ordinary race. It's an endurance race. so what if he's fast now? He could be burning more fuel, harder on his tires, and basically wear anything down on the car quicker.

Interview going on right now at SS with Mazda's John Doorman said they are in for the full season and the typical "great to work with and can't wait to see how this year turns out." speal but great to see they are actually doing a interview with them.

yeah, actually compared to the rest of the GT cars, the RX-8 is getting the most coverage... still too little, but i cant complain... =/

randy has been closing the gap on the fourth place car, it was 1:49+, now its down to 1:32

the #08 goldin bro car is off again, not out, but off the track.
