The orange RX-8 and the Goldin Bros cars both went back to the garage. I don't know the cause of the orange, but the Goldin's were working on their transmission when I walked back to the garage. I'm back at the hotel now for a nap. I'll try to go back out there later tonight to see what it's like. I met the Goldin Bros folks and they invited me back to their pits to see what it's like. I'm going to have to have to take them up on it. If I find anything out, I'll post it.

Also, if anyone has any server space, I've got short clips, 5MB and 20 MB of the 3rotors idling and revving up and also a clip of the #70 going into one of the horseshoes shooting a huge plume of flame.

it sounds like the speedsource guys are running at higher rpm's than either of the other two rx-8s out there. listen:

cant really tell what rpm that is, but according to RG's talk with SS, they shift at 8500, which is quite low. If there is no RPM limit on the engine, they could shift higher towards the end of the race, if they have a position to fight for, if not, they'll just shift low for reliability.

The PP 3-rotor should develop more power with higher rpm.
