Sooooo, when the truck arrives at the dealer and you see the two blues side-by-side, you'll think "Jeezuz, that bloody Aussie dick was right......the pics he posted WERE Phantom Blue!!"

Ha, ha. I have a friend in New Zealand who said pretty much the same thing about their money.
I'm not going to get the other blue since I special ordered mine down to the exact specs I want, but if you'd like two US dimes I do have some in my piggy bank I could send you.

i like this color. it's a nice, deep blue with a sparkling metallic tone. for me personally, winning blue is just a tad close to sky blue or baby blue. i tend to like darker colors. but, beauty is in the eye of the beholder. so, it's good we have more choices.

Okay, now I am completely confused. My husband and I were going back and forth about the color of a blue 06 car I saw at our dealership on Monday. It was next to a black one and I swear it did not have a lick of green in it (full sun). Having gone through this thread I'm thinking maybe it is the Strato Blue, but those aren't available in the US, so I'm confused. It actually looked even darker than the Strato pics posted. It was almost a metalic midnight blue. They said it was a stock color, so who knows. I am going to go up and take some pics (if it's still there). It definitely wasn't the Phantom Blue. I'll be interested to see what it says on the sticker.

University Mazda has a Phantom Blue on Sale right now. I saw it personally about 2 weeks ago. Its pretty sweet and something I would love to have. Dunno if I wanted to spend 10K more on it though. I bought my 04GT,nav for 23K.
But yeah Gomez was right his pic is definately the first of the RX-8 Phantom Blue.
