Arent those just oil cooler guards made of a mesh netting material? I dont think that would stop air flow to your oil cooler...could be wrong though...just what im guessing from the picture

Correct. They would simply slow it down slightly depending on the size of the holes in the mesh. I had the Racing Beat oil cooler guards before installing the MS bumper and they worked great.

I agree those grills block the air a little . when I install it I wasn't that happy .about it hurts your eyes a don't care 80 % a people like it . & when it was simple it turn heads but now is double. I think grill pop & then they pay attention to pain job & then they really pay attention to unique style of 8. I"m in california & when the wheather is hot I drive my miata . rx8 is 2006 & I have only 30k on it. most of miles from long trips or going to vegas 5 times at year.

LOL its ok chun...thats just the first step of the boost fever...first is the fetal position then its the add to cart finger craze....sometimes i have these nightmares of my 8 getting smoked by a cavalier and then right before i wake up i get a 1/2 second flash of this vvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvvv
