Is caliper painting ricey? What color should i paint them?

car looks great, as promised... i took side shots to show my low(2inch drop on sprint springs). One problem with springs is that once you get some low, you always want more low.

Haha sorry for stealing your thunder man, and yeah i can take more pics of it, you shouldnt be the one complaining about blurry pics, i still take my with my iphone lol. The drop looks awesome. And PDin the wheels is def worth is for 20 bucks, IMO plus ive had tons of compliments from my friends and random people. Thanks for YOUR compliment, and Ill get some more pics up on here soon.

maybe not even ricers...just every person who paints calipers paints them red. Maybe like a bronze?

 

The best is seeing red painted drums in the rear...

i painted my calipers, brackets, dust shields dark purple and my rotor hats black. my car is bb anr rotors are slotted/drilled

Every color goes with BB, the problem with MGM is that its slightly blue, so mixing a warm color makes it look weird. And then if i chose a cool color, it looks ricey :/

I agree, I didn't know if you could tell but I was totally joking. But I do agree with bronze, I think that would look pretty good.

 

I painted my calipers black. i wanted the least ricey color. i painted them when i still had the stock 40th wheels, but now with the black rpf1 they look even better. but the paint is fading now so it will probably get redone next spring or this winter.

what do you guys think about getting a paint that matches my body color? G2's website said they can supply me with caliper paint thats paint matched and is 99 bucks.

 

so i bought an aem intake instead of spacers... i regretted it at first and im nearly done with the install... BUT

during the install i found out that i actually bought a mazdaspeed intake and that i got a super good deal on a discontinued intake that i will love long time.

next mod is definitely spacers though.

OH and im working on a little mod for my engine bay to "match" the intake... i havnt seen it before, and it will provide some bling if done correctly until i upgrade it.

 

I don't think it would look as good. If i ever paint the calipers in my car it would probably be a dark color like black.

I was just looking at that thread. You scored that intake for a good price.

I like the prodrive (but not really the white) and the advan RGII in silver.

PS just ordered clear corners and Tein S-techs. Will post pics when installed.

 

i agree, the prodrive are nice but they are like 3k used :/

i think my heart is still set on the 3.3.1's unless i can find something else thats used and authentic for around 1000-1500
