supposed to be the "sevenstock" of the NE. People from mass/del/nj/ny/ all over are coming. I think some RE-A cars will be there too... not sure if they are replicas or not.

its from 8am to 8pm... its a carshow and a dedicated rotary drag race that we can spectate/participate in.

how cool would it be to park next to another 40th anny?? huh, huh?

These kind of look like my Montegi MR125's I have in Satin Black. They are no where near as much cost wise. Here is a pic of my car with them on. Just a suggestion...

 

about 60% similar. I really dont like motegi though.

$1000 shipped for what im looking at seems like a good price. Used with tires they go down to 800-1100.

I love your painted calipers btw... seafoam is my favorite color. Very project mu replica like. What did you use to paint them? Custom G2 color? or a spray?

spacers are first on the list anyway. Then i need to compile some monies. I dont want to spend $ out of my engine rebuild fund. Thats a slippery slope and eventually i know i will find myself with a turbo and no engine rebuild fund

ew dont get the RR dual. Ive had enough problems with his single exit exhaust. Get a used Agency power, i love it, and will probably be my next exhaust. The racing beat is definitely on the quiet side.

sick 40th, Pico!.......Thanks to some info from eric, i found out yesterday that my 40th is No. 357 of 1000...pretty cool to know. Thinkin about making or having a plaque made with the number on it and putting it somewhere in the interior, maybe where the stupid useless ashtray is...Let me or eric know if anyone else wants to figure their number out and ill send you the info.

Im actually in the developmental phase of having plaques made.

I have a CNC machine at my school and can make stuff happen.

My initial thought was to make the plaque about the size of the center console but a little smaller and have the plaque mounted above the heated switch panels. The limited edition Nismo 350z's have this.

the plaque will have the same badge as on the side of the car and then below it a "# 357/1000" for example.

I just have to see how im going to color in the etched lettering. Or i can just leave it all the same color, but i think that wont look good.

Im thinking to use a metal with a blackish outer appearence but when cut into it, makes a silver color.

OR...

spray painting the piece of metal and then etching into it, revealing the silver underneath (most likely going about it like this)

I was going to make one for myself, but if others are interested i could do it for a nominal fee, though id have more success with the shinka crowd, there arent alot of us 40th annys on rx8club. i wont say anything about prices since im not registered to make a GB or have a vender license.

 

Keep us posted on this project. I would be interested. I would suggest keeping it very similar to the fender plaques.

and lastly i had to fix my DD so i could pass emissions, i had had to replace some guide bolts and clean some oil control valves/filters to get the VVTL working so the CEL would turn off and they would let me into the emissions test...

 

I would love to have a modified version of the '40th Anniversary Edition' fender badges, but with the added production #.

It would look cool right on top of the passenger's air bag cover - or any other area around the center console.
