Calling All Copper Red Shinkas !!

Hey, I got my Copper Red about a month ago with worn tires and peeling chrome wheels and I think its time for me to upgrade. I'm currently leaning towards Momo Revenge 18s. Here's a link: http://www.carid.com/images/momo/whe...anthracite.jpg
I was curious if you think they would look better in the grey color shown in the picture or matte black and also if you think the sharpness of the lines wouldn't go well with all the curved lines on the 8.
Thanks for your input!
P.S. Everything else is stock as of now if I had black accents or tinted tails it would make this decision a lot easier.

Funny actually as I've been looking for a set myself on eBay as fancied 19's... think it would finish off perfectly. Mine's currently in getting all the underneath of the car rust proofed... and needs a nice set of 8 Pot KSport Calipers and 356mm discs...

In the light spectrum? A near inifinite finite amount!!! :p
RX8s has velocity red mica, copper red mica, and technically black cherry mica
I'm having strato/stormy blue mica cravings. Copper red is nice, but I’m a purple/blue/gray/black and even bright pink kind of guy; reds, greens, browns, yellows aren’t my preference. I look up wrap and plastidip options when it really gets to me lol.
With that said, I like most of the rx8 colors. White looks sharp. Vrm is beautiful in person (owned an 04 vrm). I also drooled over bcm at the dealership when the original Shinka came out.
need to do a good detail and take some more pictures this week, they worked on our road for the last month or more, so dirt was thick in the air and impossible to keep any vehicle clean. Will be able to appreciate the crm a bit better, even though I’m currently fighting the strato blue itch because of this video:

Some pictures! I am a returning member who owned an 04 GT which I always regretted selling it, but it paid for my first degree so cannot complain. I sold the first one with about 80k miles and the original engine felt as strong as the day I got it, and fully expected to get 150k out of it like my friend OtakuRX who used to post here.
As Doug Demuro would say, this.....is a 2006 Shinka edition, vin verified for #629, with 21890 miles. I've spent the better part of the past year looking for one of the nicest examples in the country in specific colors (copper red, the two or three blues only), and I believe this may be the nicest one I have found that fits my criteria for color, options, and mileage. I am the third owner, the previous owner purchased it in 2008 with 15k miles. I missed out on some great deals on the BaT auctions but was hesitant to enter in those, I would rather buy the car outright from the owner which is what I did through a private sale.
My plan is to have the paint corrected and PPF applied on the front bumper and hood, the sideskirts/rocker panel already have some sort of PPF applied. I am building a house this year so those plans will have to wait until next spring, I will not be driving it until I have the PPF applied to preserve the paint. There are about 6 filled in rock chips in the hood that I am not sure how to tackle, I might see about getting a respray on the hood only before the PPF, but am undecided as nothing can truly be perfect.
THE BAD, the car has slight oil leak, about a drop a week or two, as can be seen in the last undercarriage picture collecting on the black crossmember. There is some oil on the underside of the engine mount on that side of the vehicle, I am guessing either the OMP lines, OMP seal, or the oil pan "gasket" itself.
I would like to get into racing next year and have some parts and maintenance I need to go through. Will replace all fluids, likely will bring the car to Mazda to do the coolant since I've read it needs a specific computer/software to fully bleed the system? Will be looking at either SakeBomb or BHR coils, will see how the Sakebomb coils test out I am receiving from a member here. Looking at getting a BHR catless midpipe, a mazdaspeed strut bar for the master cylinder brace, and will be premixing 1/2oz per gallon of amsoil sabre or idemitsu. The goal is to keep it very close to stock until the engine finally goes, if it ever does. This is a 2nd car only so my mileage per year will be extremely low. If the engine ever dies I will do the LFX swap myself through Keisler Automation, and by the time that happens who knows what the availability of remans or rebuild kits will be.
Maybe I will make a build thread once I get started but it wouldn't be very exciting.
Cheers

Although it hasn't run in 3 years I did get about 48k miles out of them and still working afaik.
I got them not long after they became available.
NA, but I wanted to try them out just for S&Gs.

I’m selling mine. Well taken care of engine replaced at 48k miles currently at 99k. It is a 6 speed auto but a great base if u plan to engine swap. No leaks. Stock other than wheels/lowering springs. I have all the service records since I bought the car in 2011. Still get compliments on the car when I drive it. One of the cleanest RX8 in DFW area. Let me know. if you are interested in another project.

Early RX8 Adopter
Third time :D
Back in this after many years. This Journey took me from my first 8 ‘04 VR, second 8 ‘05 Shinka, X5 (best handling SUV I had driven at the time, ‘06 S2K (I loved this thing), ‘13 tuned A3, 3XGTIs ‘91 16V, ‘15, ‘19, back to this: 06 CR RX8 with 26K miles. Bluetooth Adapter, K&N drop in, HKS Hi-Po, BHR midpipe, Versatune. Suspension install is next, RB Sways, Tein S and Konis. Picked up some OEM aparance package as well.

Nice, my second favorite Shinka color after Black Cherry.
I like that color a whole lot more than VR.
