i bought a new (to me) 8 last week. im confused tho, it was sold to me as a shinka and has a red paint job with copper flake. im guessing its copper red but it the seats are all black leather and there is no shinka badge on the side pilar. trying to run the VIN but im hoping someone here can tell me...was there a 05 copper red shinka with black leather seats? thank you!!

No. The Shinka does not have black interior. There was no Copper Red in 05.
It's possible that the original owner swapped all of the Shinka parts, but that would be redundant.
It's most likely not a Shinka...
Beautiful color though.

Very true yomomspimp06. I'm going with ohlins DFV, hotchckis sways and enkei 17x9! I'm still deciding between hotchckis and progress tech though.

I have progress. love them. also have rpf1 17x9.5 +38. cheaping out on coilovers though....powertrix should be here next week. sounds like you have good plans for her.

Ahh no cheaping out on coilovers allowed, especially if your tracking your car. Ive been saving for months and I've only saved half of the price of the Ohlins. So what should i buy first considering i have 78,000 miles on my suspension, coilovers, sway bars or rims and tires?

rpf1's wrapped with an Rcomp tire would provide the largest benefit(mainly from the tire). I believe learning the cars track behavior in stock form is the best way to become a better driver. With that being said, I decided to upgrade in small increments. Getting a feel for a single change at a time on the track. I bought the RPF1s because a local had them for a deal I couldn't pass up. I have yet to decide on a tire for the coming season though. I don't think I'm ready for a Rcomp yet so I will probably go with some Rs3's.

I bought the sways first. It is probably my favorite mod so far. The bang for buck is really an unmatched value. I have virtually no body roll and the fact that they are adjustable helps a lot. I would also add a good alignment with some camber dialed in. I'm searching for a good setup that's not overly aggressive on the street. There's a thread around here somewhere with tons of info in it that I need to look for again.

All good info. I have been driving my car basically stock for the past year now! I started with SCCA then migrated to road courses. I've been running high speed touring at a local track with instructor direction. I have so much more to learn, like heel toe to start.
