So Im ordering a body kit and I love the Velocity look. I saw the Mint Blue kit and I was wondering why it was soo much cheaper than Velocity, and if it was a good idea to buy Velocity or go for quality and buy Velocity.

Any way so Velocity is made by Extreme Dimensions and is made of Duraflex fiberglass. Mint Blue is by AIT and is made of "Flex-fiber"

Ive herd that mint blue fits really good but im scared of going cheap on this.

I know that not everyone has Mint Blue on their car but any info is helpful

mint blue is the original kit. it should have better fitment.

 

Sounds like your subconscious is leaning towards Velocity.

 

Velocity Red is the illest/fastest/dopest color RX-8 so anything with the word Velocity in it should make your car more PIMP.

Yeah PB is definitely a dope color. Aside from Kane I have yet to see one done to the 9's though.

Didn't mean to go off track op. I know you're not talking about colors, just body kit styles. I think both look good, but I don't know about fitment.

the mint blue kit by AIT is a knock off too. ED is also. both have been know to have fitment issues and ED even worse. if you like the look get with japanparts and spend the money on the real thing the first time and save money in the end

Some simple searches would have showed you that buying replica body parts = more time and money in the body shop. Yeah, you got a body kit for $400, dont be surprised when your paint/fitment bill is over $1500.

 

i think mint blue went out of business, or stopped making kits for the 8 so unless they have one in a warehouse somewhere you are not likely to find authentics anymore

 

Actually I think the mint blue you are referring to is the company, while the mint blue the OP is referring to is the name of a body kit by Extreme Dimensions or an affiliate.

 

oooooh i assumed the replica company's "mint blue" was just a mint blue replica.

i thought people were telling him to buy an authentic mint blue kit muh bad

 

now dont get me wrong knock off kits are ok from a well know company that doesnt over use molds and cares about qulity. I know shine motorsports is one
