I was back out at Ellington Field on Thursday and I decided to take some more jet photos, looking for fresh angles...
That last one was the best view I could find to accentuate the delta wing planform of George Bush's F-102.

And this time I finally took pictures of a few other jets there that I had been neglecting for years, the F-101 Voodoo, the F-80 Shooting Star, and the F-84 Thunderstreak:

Had a big day today with getting out on the racetrack at Grand Sport Raceway, then went to the airshow in Galveston and found this opportunity for more jet photos...

Glad you're liking them. Here's a challenge photo...
A picture of the RX-8 inside a jet, kinda like this:

At the racetrack yesterday we got into a discussion about front plates, so I thought it would be fun to do a chop for the non-front plate rebels in the club....

I've seen several people post photos of hot jets and such that they work with (or near). It can be easy to slip your 8 into a photo (assuming you have the same passion for these kind of RX-8 pictures).
And for anyone who doesn't work aerospace, there is still all the static displays and such that you can find in the most unusual of places. If you in any way feel so inclined, this is your invite to contribute to this thread.
And if you'd like to snap a photo, but you don't know of a good location, I'd be glad to help you find one. If you live in Phoenix, I can think of at least three excellent spots. I drove through Klamath Falls, Oregon one time and found a sweet one. Hutchinson, Kansas. Upstate New York. You name it. I'm sure that there are many hundreds of good spots throughout the US. Outside of the US, I'm much less familiar. But there are still plenty.
And I'm sure that there are great aerospace photos being posted to this site that I just haven't seen yet. If you'd like to crosspost them into here, that would be great too! (As with Wing5's excellent work, among others.)

Oh, and if you do get motivated to park your car close to a high performance jet, be sure not to get TOO motivated...

Whichever way you stand about W, he's still our first fighter jet president!
...even if only part time. Heh. When I saw him out by Air Force One, I was asking if they let him fly it!

Hey Rootski, I see you're advertising the USAF Academy with your avatar. How bout a photo of your 8 at Thunderbird Overlook, or by the B-52, or with one of your gliders?
(If you've posted these somewhere else, then I'd appreciate you throwing me a bone!)

One might arrive at a conclusion that at least one person among us is hating to the point of vandalism.

Here's a repost of one of my very first RX-8 photos, from way back in the summer of '03...
(It's a print scan from those lame digital prints, so the 35mm quality is shot.)

My car and planes gives me a..... can't say it on here. Nice comparisons though. I used to fly the Saab 340 for US Air Express and then bought my car. Closest thing to flying for me is keeping it in 3rd while on 495 doing 65! Sounds like my old CT-7-9B GE engines!
