Your words of appreciation come as a refreshing change of pace for how this thread has developed so far. I had actually considered taking down all my pics here since the vocal majority seemed to be offended for some strange reason!
I need to start posting some from the Air Force side of my collection. But I have yet to get any of my 8 with an F-15, or a satellite for that matter! Last October I was at an excellent Eagle static display, but getting my 8 close enough for a photo would have gotten me busted for sure.

If you'd like I could post up some pics so you could check it out. I was just there two days ago on vacation but I'd flown down so no way of getting pics with the 8. However you could drive right up to this one if you wanted to.

Believe me once the snow melts and break up is complete i will have picks... but i doubt it will be before i leave for the middle east... my car is just way to dirty i mean it looks like i went 4 wheeling in it dirty and i wash it atleast 1 time a week the melting season sucks so much in alaska. i will get some shots with a F-4, P-38 (the only one built of its kind, it was a special model that crashed in the mountains up here was rebuilt), F-15, C-130, F-87, and i think we have an f-102 on base also... and a helicopter lol. but i gotta wait for break up to finish so pray for it guys because i want the frozen roads to leave and the rocks... found 2 dents so far from all the damn rocks being spit up i knew i shoulda left her in the garage but i love driving my 8 too damn much.

The idea of being a carrier fighter pilot would be very tempting,
...except for the fact that they make you live on the boat!
But that doesn't keep me from appreciating the beauty from the outside looking in. Here are a few more from that Hornet shoot:
And another angle with the Tomcat:

Another from that photoshoot...
At the time I clicked the shutter I wasn't paying much attention to the cloud reflections, but that is my favorite part of the way this photo came out.

Glad to. I never got around to telling the story of those last two jets (F-102 & F-16). The name on the F-16 canopy rail is Lacy Veach. He was an astronaut who flew with the Ellington Guard.
And for the F-102, here is what you see zooming in on that photo...
