No. No back seats. For the love of motoring fun, don't give us back seats. The 8 already has them. I want a 2 seater with hatch, and no more than 2500 lbs. I want a turbo option, and I'm willing to pay for it. Joe Average will keep buying your 8's, Joe Crazierthanbatshit will pay for more performance and less practicality.

I'm more interested in what the engine is made of, aluminium, cast iron again? what exactly is the geometric difference, mainly in which directions are the increases going? You can guess all you what about the HP, but the new dimensions/materials is what i'm interested in.

If They Mated...

Pretty obvious someone took the Kabura concept and Mazda6-ified it. Look at the foglights. Now, whether this was done as official Mazda business, or by an enterprising photoshopper... We'll have to wait 'til Tokyo to find out.

I like the direction this is going. The Kabura looks a little too Sci-Fi to me, but the Mazda6 is stunning. Here's hoping the final product of this 'flow' series is a 2 door, 4 seat hatch.

Me too, I think we will see a bigger rotor (greater diameter). As opposed to increased width. Increasing the width is probably impossible for the 1.6L, the exhaust ports right now could barely flow enough to support 1.3L at high rpm, therefore B geometry is outta the question.

What about 3 rotors, are we certain that 1.6L will be 2 rotors? I like the idea of thin and small rotors (times 3).

I think its about time for aluminium... Rotaries don't have the weight advantage anymore compared to other engines.

Looks like a hatchback from this angle, too:

That image looks really fake, though. And those wheels look to be ripped right off the Kabura.

And the last image for good measure:

I'm sure the Ren2 had a few different directions it could have gone in. Perhaps they even had seperate teams working on diferent solutions. Perhaps the 1.5l got the axe and the 1.6l got the go-ahead

These couldn't possibly be official Mazda renderings. They would have tried harder. Kudos to whoever photoshopped these, though. I really like the lines of the headlights, foglights, and grill.

Do you guys think these images were composed by someone who'd actually seen the new concept vehicle? or a pic of it? Are those kinds of information leaks common? Or is this just a demonstration of creative forecasting by an auto magazine?

I say Smoke is being blown up my piehole till I see it at Tokyo. We've had to many false hopes for me to be doing a lil dance in my room singing songs of joy. The drawings are obviously photohacked and the article could of been written by any one of us since the rumors we spread here at times are very rampant be it from a good source or through wishful thinking. Be easy to compile all the ones that seem legit and put them together for a decent article. I dunno in a negitive mood atm but again till I see it in Tokyo or as SSX I'm calling bull.

I don't think I've seen any statement either way about what the displacement will be. You probably know better than anyone else.
