As a follow up to my last dealer visit, last week. My car failed to start at the market on Saturday. I roll started it, and went home pretty annoyed. One of the things that they insisted on doing was replacing the battery to do my compression test. I was pretty sure that this was an unnecessary expense, but the thing was pretty old so I said OK just to get them to do the test. I open up the battery compartment AND, one of the screw downs for the tie down strap is missing, the positive contact is bent, has half a dozen dents in the top (not really a problem but a sign of abuse), some chunk of metal is stuffed in between the post and the clamp, and the clamp is bent. No wonder my started motor isn't getting sufficient amps to start. I can not believe these people. I swear that it is a gorilla back there.

Well, the dealer is doing the stand up thing and fixing the damaged battery, clamp and tie down. At least they stand behind their gorilla.
