Why do the prices dropped?

why have th prices of these cars dropped so much ?
04 are selling around 10K for example
I am attracted to the handling characteristics and good looks of this car, I am shocked Mazda can deliver such a nice sporty car
but the price drop makes me question a purchase because ( is there something to stay away from ) and the company ( coming from and AUdi and MB owner to a mazda) how does that look to the neighbors
, SLs & 911s etc are stilll holding good prices between 20-30 K and they are older than this the 8. The 911 came out in 99 and its still a 30K car, where as the rx8 is already 10K, even boxsters are holding their value.
Also,
having driveng Audis MBs and possibly a Porsche in the future,..and going to a mazda might look bad to the ladies? is there any potential problems to be on the look out for ?).

Sometimes, people who are jealous of others - like, maybe the situation of someone who can't afford a RX8 - get a perverse thrill out of generating controversey and throwing stones at those they envy. Children - or insecure adults - may do this to attract attention to themselves.

MBs and 911s (apart from special editions) depreciates alot. In fact I dare say that S-class and the E-class depreciates much worse than RX-8. AMG only accelerates the rate of price drop even more. AMG C32 or AMG C55 are great buys. Audis are perennial depreciation kings when it comes to their A6 and A8 models.
OP needs to do more research otherwise or risk looking like a tool coming as a new member. Reputation will forever be tarnished by stupid ignorant initial posts.

Probably a prankster from the a BMW or Audi forum. Probably retailiation for a RX8 club prankster... and man we are much worse.

pwned since when is it a bad thing to be able to pick up a low mi 4 year old car for 12k that handles with anything in its class and many cars above its price? As well as looking better than anything in its class.
