As I understand it, If I changed the final drive gear in the rear end than it would effect all of the gears, but I should be able to change only the 6th (or any gear in the transmission) to a taller gear without effecting any gear but the one I changed. Forza and Grand Turismo must have taught me something usefull lol But like I said, I have no hands on experience with it.

What AlzOrz means is that you would not change out a single gear in the transmission. Generally the easy change is the final drive gearing in the differential but when you change the final drive it affects the performance of all of the gears in the transmission. A higher final drive would give better acceleration but lower top end a lower final drive would give less acceleration, lower rpms but would not add top end speed due to need for extra horsepower to overcome the aero drag...you would not be able to get to redline in 6th gear.

For what it is worth the 6MTs are rev limited in 6th to 7500 rpms, I'm not sure that anyone has been able to pull to the limiter in 6th with a naturally aspirated 8, course I wouldn't know on the street anyway.

no.... we have no rev limiter on the manuals.

you can take it to 9500 rpm in 6th using a dyno. or with an esmeril turbo @ 400whp.

I never get out of 2nd gear on an autocross course, including Michelin Black Lake testing facility (which is huge.)

yep,

70 mph gps = ~3700 rpm on a 04 with a tire diameter of 25.7 ".

and yes tire diameter is important!

My 09 does 3750 RPMs at 70 MPH in 6th, not sure why the R3 would be doing 4K RPMs at the same speed. Drag. road conditions, 19 vs 18 inch tires, who knows. Its not too far off from the others here so you're fine. to me it also doesn't feel any different than if it was doing 2K RPMs. This baby is smooooth!
