Ouch!. I did save some bucks any way. Your ebay visors are going to split again, its a design fault at the seem and the sun on it all day. My repair solved that design flaw. I sealed the seam so it can never split again. Wala! lol.

I suspect it because have read the service bulletin, but how to know? My 8 is a 2007 and the sun visors were supposed to be the revised version, and they split.

146,7xx, 20 minutes ago: replaced the piece where the driver's visor clips into. This had broken like 2 years ago. A whopping $4.90 or so.

Mysteriously enough, the name on the parts tag was "Adapter." I guess no one knew what to call it

In all actuality, I was at the shopping mall earlier to do some Christmas shopping and found an Initial D cabinet inside the arcade in the mall, and figured what the hell? Such a cool feeling owning a car that you can drive in a game.

It is a cheap design issue and the way the seam was put together. My 8 is a 2004, not sure on the 2007 but my guess is you have a seam on the window side and if so in time you will be investing in another pair, unless of course you opt to try wwhat i did or some thing similar. The sun makes the seems fail because they are plastic and subject to heat warp coupled with the fact the seam is poorly designed( Probably cam up with that idea on friday after beer number 4)?. lol.

Got pictures from the Markham Park meet that happened last weekend, and my friend got this pic of my car rolling down the highway.

Today, 147,0xx -- hopefully went through the last chapter of the saga that began this Monday: EPS went batshit insane and had to be replaced. The bill was so big I bet I could've bought an FB or NA, prepped it for autocross and still have change left over.

Mazda, the only car I put up with such **** from are the Rotary cars, ok? Had this been some anonymous shitmobile I would've kicked it to the curb long, long ago.

My CD player ate my CDs, so I've come to take them back! In the process, I broke the radio antenna and dropped that 10 mm hidden bolt securing the radio to the frame; and since I had the unit out, I soldered those pesky loose prongs for the HVAC heater control.

new guy

Im new here and just got the rx8 from my buddy. Long time enthusiast of this car.

Since I got the car I had to do the necessities,
-wash
-clay bar
-wax
-air filter
-oil change and filter
-transmission oil changed
-repaired trunk brake light wires
-spark plugs
-cabin air filter
- fix air solenoid wires ( had CEL on)

I have gained so much info here and i appreciate all who post the DIY's and manuals.

It runs so much smoother now.
