Changed my antifreeze. Most expensive antifreeze (FL 22) I've ever bought. Next time will use Motorcraft Asian.

Its an 06. Those aren't accurate, I put the text in there (metra kit). My wife was irritated when I accidentally slipped that it requires premium. So I figured I would be proactive on the economy front.

9 months? Ha ha. Good thing you didn't get pulled over unless you didn't really drive it for that time

NICE!!!! Most people just put "[Insert Name]'s RX8". Very clever. Doesn't she ask why it never changes?

She rarely rides in it, and even more rarely drives it. If anything she would look at it and be like OK then forget the number. All I really need to do is bounce the last number around. Takes like 10 seconds.

I'd love to pull down close to 25, but no matter how I drive it sits high 19 low 20. I am transferring schools and the drive is primarily 55 mph. Which seems to be the bes speed for mpg. So we will see if I can get it up. Plus with it being hotter the air is thinner, requiring less fuel. So we will see what happens.

From what I've seen from people with widebands , the AFRs are really low. Is there a reflash to lean it out a bit?

I can't drive 55

I hear ya though about no matter how you drive it's still roughly the same. I've filled 10 times since March and have gotten low 16.9 and high 19.2...Have driven roughly the same each time (maybe pushed it a little on the 16.9 tank).

Wax works

Waxed "Blue" up by hand after a good washing.

Also watched X2 X-Men movie on an airplane a couple of days ago and saw the RX-8 during the escape scene. Same color as mine as well as interior. I don't have the secret phone in my 8 tho

Turned it into a garage queen! Dropped insurance and did not renew the tags.

Changed the coolant tank due to faulty sensor. Nice to drive it without the red alarm on.

Went to a meet in Cincinnati this morning and picked up another set of wheels.
Installed AuxMod. (I hate wiring harnesses)
Bent the clip that holds OBD2 scanner so it's slightly less in the way.

Bought Gr8Bullet's RS*R springs. While I had it up on jack stands I changed both the oil and spark plugs(12,000 miles with about 35,000 on ignition coils).

I was only able to do the front because I had to work in the afternoon. Sometime tomorrow, I will finish up and completely do the rear. But here is what it looks like, which is truly a one hour one-person DIY, if you know what you are doing.

BEFORE

AFTER
