Was driving the car and got a blinking cel when accelerating in 2nd gear, it sort of had a little hard time getting up to redline, then it all went away. Later on it did it again and it was a p0301 code. My idle changed too, instead of the smooth idle sound that I would get before, I get more of a louder brap brap idle and extra vibration with more pops in my exhaust. I had just changed the plugs yesterday...and I checked them again today but they were fine.

misfires... if you've got new plugs your problem is either a faulty connection between the plug and wire, wire and coil, wire itself, or one or more of your coils are going bad. the code should give you an idea of which coil / wire to start your investigation with.

Thanks, I already knew what the code meant though. Tried changing the coils and still getting the same idle. No more misfire codes and no more issues while driving today so far.

New plugs, new OEM coils, and another set of JDM clear corners.

I was hoping I could get Labor Day off so I could do a similar trip(900 miles one way), from Los Angeles to Lake Tahoe, Nevada.

Rebuilt the rear brake calipers. Its now a yearly job as the heat really cooks the boots. Good thing is the parts are cheap and its relatively easy to do

Finally cleaned my MAF sensor to try and fix son rough idling. That didn't help..

Being a car noob, still gathering enough courage to clean the throttle body in hopes of fixing my idle.
