What did you do with your RX8 today?
Went to a rolling road shootout with some epic cars including a 630bhp/617lbs torque GTR... as per usual, car shows just what bull Mazda were talking about... with remap/de-cat and full exhaust system 211bhp/139lbs torque @Flywheel... with compression all in the high 7.8+s...

Filled a little gap in the header / midpipe flange with RTV! It was a new header I put on, and I hate undoing stuff... Plus, it's only a temp until I get the BHR header.
Hopefully I will no longer have an exhaust leak (I did the header yesterday afternoon).

Just put a red AEM/Mazdaspeed intake on my car today. Got a good deal on it I couldnt pass up. All the parts said mazdaspeed and had an AEM sticker over the mazdaspeed logo. Is anyone elses like that?
Yeah ive read that they are the same thing as well. (And did research on it before I bought it, not expecting noticable hp gain or anything) But I didnt think if I bought the AEM version that it would have mazdaspeed stamped on all the pieces with the part numbers, was just kinda cool.
As of today I have done a full tune-up, plugs, coils, wires, battery (done today), all 4 brake pads. At 30k I believe thats all that needs to be done maintainance wise.
Next is ACT stage 1 with a lightweight flywheel, BHR mid pipe and a COBB tune.

Added Syn oil to my 8........and the crowd goes : oooooooh
.
Removed my wheels and sanded the mating surfaces of the wheel and the hub to remove oxidation from winter to achieve better wheel fitment. Added 4 oz to full tank of 91 octane gas for a little more lubricity.
Passed my emissions yesterday

. using my home made cold air system

I changed by tranny and diff fluids today. Made a little mess since it was by first time doing it but kinda smooth none the less. Used Ford motorcraft transmission fluid for the tranny and some Mobil 1 75w90 synthetic for the diff.
I spilled a mug full of water all over my rich, Corinthian leather. :'(
Too many G's on a hard looping on-ramp threw it out of my holder.
I actually risked bodily harm to jump out and wipe everything off on the shoulder of I-35.

Just mounted my LS2 ignition setup today. I came across a thread here selling an LS2 harness adapter along with four Delphi D514A ignition coils with only about 400 miles on them all for only $45, so I decided to give it a shot since it was such a steal. I also got an extra set of MSD wires from a friend on this forum for $30.
I ended up fabricating a simple bracket and finally got them on. All I can say is wow! I love seeing how much faster the RPM needle moves throughout the power band; the engine runs so smooth and the throttle response is a bit better. My previous set of OE ignition coils only have about 9,000 miles on them, but the LS2 coils just blow them out of the water.
