Had the P2259 CEL for quite some time, replaced the Air Solenoid Valve and made the DIY to removing the UIM.

You drift with your own child in the car?

Good, which means I can keep my current one until whenever. I have at least 90,000 miles in my CAT. But, I borrowed a friends CAT with ~30,000 miles for the SMOG. Here were the results with mine(11/08: had the P2259 CEL then fixed it later) and his(11/19), respectively.

SMOG plus car wash, removed friend's CAT and installed the AP CAT. My stock CAT will be in storage.

i'm behind on this!

sunday i pulled the rear seats, cleaned em (for the first time, i'm sure), and treated the leather (for the first time i'm sure). i think the previous owner was a soda spilling dog.

monday i went to the dealership, and bought touch up paint ($6.35), a wheel center cap ($7), the battery cover ($22), a gas cap ($18) and a fan speed **** ($38, overpriced!)

to my amazement the gas cap fixed the P0456 code (it was too easy), the car liked the long drive too, its been running really well (the front rotor is a little weak).

the rest of the stuff wasn't too satisfying, just because its stuff that shouldn't have gotten lost in the first place

today/tomorrow's task is to bon ami and then rainx the windows. clean glass makes a HUGE difference

This week, replaced front/rear brake pads and rotors (the caliper pins were rusted tight on one front and one rear caliper). Just replaced the drivers door lock today.

Left to do, program remotes and keys but I can't get the directions on the site here to work.

Which are you trying to program, key transponder or the FOB; what type of FOB do you have?

Have both to program. (was only given one key by owner). Purchased one key from Ace Hardware (programmed correctly) and two Visteon remotes (correct # per dealer). Car goes into programming mode but pushing the buttons on the remote twice doesn't seem to work.

Washed it, brought it home, and despite having no front bumper I decided I'd liquid glass it just for giggles, silky smooth paint now

On another note, scheduled the front bumper paint day, so she's coming back together

Gave her an oil change, never changed oil from an RX8 but have to say it's alot easier than GM model vehicle. Also finally got my license plates for the front and rear. Had to ask the dealership to send them over since they "forgotten about it". Also received my front license plate holder today in the mail.

today i put the better used engine mount in from the last car, and its eerie quiet now, definitely a win.

on the loose side, i'm fighting an intermittent airbag light for the drivers seat position sensor. sensor seems to work, connections are tight, but sometimes the light is on, really annoying

I drove mine really fast until I smelled oil burning. Now it is sitting in the garage on time out until I decide what to do with her.
