I added a little something that should have come from mazda:

 

Opened my back windows for the first time.

 

i installed an HID kit looks sweet

Got two new rear tires (Hankook V12s) under warranty, because they found nails in both rear tires when they rebuilt my transmission under warranty.

 

Dang! Trans rebuilt already? Just ordered BBKs for my R3. 4-pot Rotoras with 14" 2 piece discs up front and TCE's Wilwood BBK with 13" discs on stock calipers in the rear.

 

It's an '09 with ~32K miles. I bought it with 19K miles.

5th started grinding. When the Mazda dealership took apart the transmission to replace 5th, they found that 6th was replaced at some Mazda dealership in Colorado before I bought it, and that service center put in some shaft backwards, which wore out 6th as well. So they went ahead and rebuilt the whole thing.

Thank goodness for warranties.

 

put on a greddy SP2 exhaust and got more low

thats about it, if you are in the so-cal area come and hit up AE performance they did a great job today installing my exhaust the guys there are pretty cool they are having a 1st saturday monthly meeting this saturday at 8am coffee, donuts and a butt load of cool cars.

Installed the Davesport cat mid pipe and BHR ignition
Changed Trans and diff fluid

 

Dirty? With all the road construction around me, my 8 hasn't been that clean in almost a year. It was detailed last summer, but there's no point now until they finish these projects. As soon as I take it out, it looks like crap again

Picked up my replacement front bumper from RX8ualiv. Clean it up and install it tonight!

Walked by it and got in a PT Cruiser, because it runs.

 

Menzerna Swirl remover, Eraser, 3 coats of Zaino Z5pro. Tomorrow, 3 coats of Zaino Z2, then Friday Interior, Exterior plastics, tires, seal wheels, Pinnacle Sovereign Paste wax.

I drove up to WCS's place with beers

We installed speed bleeders on my 8 and changed out the brake fluid. Speed bleeders are a great mod for any car!

We also created a new tune to enable advantages of BHR ignition.

Isn't it? The immobilizer is on the fritz, so.....I bought a PCM, Keyset, Ignition Lock and all that happy **** from the same car. Still didn't work.
So, I sent the new one to racing beat today to be programmed without the immobilizer feature so I could drive my car again.
Though, the PT is a GT, so, it feels "gofast".
