Installed a manual ONN/OFF-switch plus seperate blinking LED-signallight today on the tunnel console (aside the seat heater switches), enabling myself to have running the 2 radiator coolingfans at 1/2 speed for additional/preventive cooling when during hot summer running into traffic congestion/heavy stop and go situations the oil temperature is quickly rising.
See: https://www.rx8club.com/showthread.p...ght=fan+switch this was a good help to find the wire at the fan relay 1.

I probably need to do that soon. Could possibly be my SSV is sticking. Anyway, it took about four drive cycles (start engine to warm up, then turn it off to cool for a few hours = a drive cycle) before the engine finally maintained idle.

Got all parts needed for a tune I'm doing on Friday list of things I got:
-Spark Plugs
-oil 10w-40
-new thermostat
-carb/TB cleaner to remove and clean SSV
-some mazda zoom in a can
-coolant
-omp adapter
-premix (MMO/lucas/idemastu)
putting on some oil cooler screens also, will more then likely take the whole day but it's AG going for a cruise on Saturday anyways.

Was this for your Prosport gauge? If so, may I inquire as to why it was replaced?

I did nothing "with" my 8. But, I did order stuff "for" her today. So much stuff for her when I bring her out of the garage...

That blue foam is corrosion, it happens to a lot of batteries. Remove the battery and clean it with a steel brush. There are many instructions on this across the web. The corrosion can damage the battery and cables.

So your 8 won't start? Do some splainin right nao!

Hoping a couple parts will come in so i can get to work on her (gonna rip out the a/c / heating unit, install a new rubber boot under the top shift boot, and put a glovebox light in). Just waiting for Monday so I can get her touchup paint and fix some scratches :L)

Had Mazda install the revised stablizer bar end links (yesterday actually).

Ordered that FP60 stuff. Never did this "premix" thing before, but figured I needed another OCD ritual.

Washed, went over Zaino (three coats 2 weeks ago) with Detailer, treated trim and tires to get them black(er).
