you're at a red light, u wanna smoke the **** out of the guy pulled up next to.. u shift into first gear, foot on the clutch.. what rpm do u have hold the engine at before u let go of the clutch on green?? i found anywhere between 4-5k to be a good start.. any recommendations?

 

20K and then drop the clutch. then drive back to your high school.

 

I launch right at redline.

That is where power is at it's peak so it makes sense. And it doesnt launch rough, because of the smoothness of the rotary.

sell the 8, get a stang and then replace the engine with one from a nissan for the fastest start...

 

Buddy unless its a chevy Metro, Aero, or Ford Escort from a stop the RX-8 is not a great 0-60 car.

Now at highway speed I bet the Rx-8, will run with any Mustang or Camaro v6. A 2-3 Mile it will run probably any car out there. You have to know the Cars limitation.
