My experience with it "fixed" was not positive. The roof still rattles and now my headliner has some marks. In fact I swear even my door rattles now. I've cleaned up the marks since I rather trust myself then those lackeys. Will not be bringing it back for a re-fix. <sigh> I regretted bringing it in.

Okay, like I mention before I took my car in on Tuesday at 2;00 pm and got it back on Wednesday 3;00 pm . No more rattles on the sun roof and got my new visor. I got a loaner from them during that time too.
They put in a new rail for the sun roof with new bolts. The headliner was cleaned and well put together. I wish they would had put the pasenger side visor to , but o well. If that one goes down I'll just take it in.
All in all I was happy with the service and treatment , can't bicth at all. Remember just take in your service bulletin and you should'nt have no problems.

OK, finally at my wit's end. Went in and ordered the parts today. They'll call when i'm ready to go in for it. Apparently the Mazda tech that works on Mazda's was there and claimed that he'd did one already. Not sure if that's a good thing or not...
Also, I went in for the brakes TSB due to crazy squeeks from the brakes in the last 1000 miles...and they said it's a no go due to being at 13K miles. Claimed it was a 12K miles/12 month warranty only on the brakes. WTF.

Keep us updated , hopefully everthing will work out.
In regards to the brake that sound like a lot of B.S. I could take mine in for that cause my brakes squeak here and there but I plan on changing them this coming weekkend. I already got some ceramic from hawk, that should work.

I noticed a rattle in mine but the thing is its only when i start out when the engine goes from idle at around 750 the rattle starts at about 1000 and leaves before 1500 but its bad i felt around and noticed the roof outside just infront of the sunroof was raddling really bad so i took out the map light assembly and still a rattle.
Any ideas?

Search "Rattle hunt" and add all this info to that thread. There is quite a lot of different bits of info and cures in that other thread. I'll link it below in a second.

i had mine "fixed" also, i would highly recommend AGAINST getting this recall done, it took them 2 times to fix and my nearest dealership was 30 miles away, the day i got it back, it was raining and it was leaking water, im happy to say that ill never go to that mazda dealer anymore

I had no problem at all, and it took them a matter of hours to do it. Only thing i did noticed was some slight discoloration around the lining which was likely dirtied in the process, and they tried to clean it later.
However, the roof no longer rattles and no sign of leakage at all. As long as you have a reputable dealership, i'd recommend this to anyone with the imfamous sunroof shake

^ Agreed. Mazda redesigned the part causing the problem, so why not have it? If you happen to be within an hour or so of a Mazda dealer with a good service department, it's worth it.

I'll mention a rattle I found and fixed just forward of the sunroof opening near the sunglass holder. The motor driving the sunroof is very close to the roof itself. Tapping or vibration was causing it to rattle against the roof. I slipped in a piece of .060" soundproofing material to prevent metal-to-metal contact and it's fixed. No need to secure it really as it's a tight fit.
