finally introducing myself

What's up guys? I figured I'd finally introduce myself since I don't see myself getting rid of my 8 anytime soon.

I bought an 04 Gt with about 39k on the clock last August after months of looking for a car. With that being said I'm 19 and figured it was probably retarded to finance a car I knew nothing about...but after I took her for a test drive I didn't give a ****. I quickly grew to hate my 8 as much as I loved it and spent more time learning on this forum than anything else....and besides work, I mean that quite literally.

Although I'm not a total noob to working with cars (built a few with my pops and do know a little bit....about things with pistons lol) I made a handful of noob mistakes with my 8 and thanks to this site was able to resolve them all. Wanted to say thanks for that.

I'll post a picture soon.

Welcome, and dont worry, the 8 is like a unfit relationship ... sometimes she will really **** you off, but once you get inside her, all of the pains seem to go away

haha agreed. i always find myself trying to pick out everything that's wrong with her when stuck in traffic and why i should sell only to forget all the negative thoughts once on a back road or after i park and look as i walk away.

You can find something that's wrong? I've had mine for 4 1/2 years, and the only thing I find wrong is the minimal interior stash space. When I'm stuck in traffic mostly I look around and see everything that's just right.

key words were, "trying to pick out." the previous owner(s) didn't take the best care of this 8 and it shows.

there is one thing that's gravely wrong with it though. when waiting in a parking lot for someone etc., it is very uncomfortable to fall asleep in. and thats coming from a kid who used to fall asleep in the brass section of band class.

shameful, do you know how many smurfs they had to kill to make that car... If you did you wouldn't have bought it.

My first RX8 back in '04 was Winning Blue, so it does indeed bring back memories for me.

paint doesn't make the car go zoom. 50/50 rule. If you cant see it from 50 feet away at 50mph it doesn't exist.
