Renesis Motor Code?

I searched the forums, checked the FAQs, but still can't find it.

What is the CORRECT motor code on the RX-8s? I know the FC was a 13B-RE, the FD was a 13B-REW... Is it simply Renesis? Or is it still a 13x-xxx?

Thanks for any help!

Feel free to e-mail me, [Email Removed] since I don't check the forums all that often!

Yup, and the MSP comes from Multi-Side Port.

Very interesting of what MSP is actually stand for. I actually think Multi -side port is a better answer than the real answer.

DO YOU ACTUALLY get this from somewhere or you MADE IT UP?? :D

I happen to know the answer from a Japanese magazine (the REV magazine).

I am not sturing any arguments but...

One more:

RENESIS is coined from Rotary Engine's GENESIS

And it describes Rotary Engine for the New-generation with Exhaust ports on the Side housings and Intake prots on the Side housings.

THE REAL ANSWER (which is very stupid) - Mazda Special Project
The first running prototype side port engine was in the RX-01 concept car. Back then the engine wasn't called the Renesis. It was called the MSP-RE. Multi Side Port Rotary Engine. The Mazda Special Project designation probably came later.
