this is pretty crazy in my opinion and mazda should redesign this and make a recall...there seems to be a LOT of people on this forum that have had their brackets break and this is just a VERY small amount of rx8 owners. i dont have a problem getting a part to reinforce the bracket but the majority of people who dont know about these forums or care enough to research their car are going to run into this problem and not know what the hell to do.

You're right, I not only mentioned to you that this is a common problem, I ALSO redirected you to the LEADING thread on this matter. How uninformative of me.

Answer: no, not covered

BTW: I have the CRH pedal, it rocks
THEN I made yet ANOTHER uninformative post by telling you another SOLUTION for this problem; the CRH reinforced clutch pedal.

Bottom Line Stealth: you've been gone from here for quite some time and a LOT has happened. It would do you good to listen to those of us who have been here, read the threads we link you, and refamiliarize yourself with the search function.
Like it or not, we were trying to help.

I'm sitting at about 36K. I DILISI all the time. Should this be something that I would be concerned about with an 06?

Does CRH have a website that I can check out this reinforcement?

I don't mean to hijack, just thinking ahead.

Stealth, I would highly advise checking out the main thread for this issue as it lays out all the aspects of the bracket failure. Even IF Mazda is going to cover this bracket for you under warranty, the problem will happen again at some point.

I too have the BHR clutch assembly on my RX8 and it's been fantastic. Mazsport does offer a welding service and a reinforcement bracket but I can promise you both of those "Services" will take much more time than I'm sure you can afford.

PM Charles R. Hill @ BHR and order the clutch assembly. There is NO core charge although he does ask you send him your core. He won't charge you unless he's got an assembly in stock to ship and it's tig welded to the point it will NOT break. If it does, he provides excellent warranties and will work with you.

Send him a PM, get the assembly and get back on the road. It's 4 bolts and about 30 minutes of install time. Easy as cake.

There are two supports currently offered.

Here's BHR's - https://www.rx8club.com/series-i-trouble-shooting-95/clutch-pedal-snap-off-8-year-warranty-recall-%7E%7E%7E-132912/page11/ post 271. PM Ray for info.

Here's Mazsport's - https://www.rx8club.com/series-i-aftermarket-performance-modifications-23/new-product-mazsport-clutch-support-bracket-149245/ I think you can order from their website.

Ouch that's what my clutch looked like too when I popped it, you couldn't even disengage the stupid thing at all. If you're having the dealership replace your clutch make sure they check on the pedal too, because my pedal went along with the clutch and it was at a funny angle.

Regarding the flaming going on here: Give a man a fire, he will be warm for the night. Set a man on fire, and he's warm for the rest of his life.

What the hell did you do to that clutch, and how many miles did it take?

anywho some people here are alittle immature, i think someones just jealous they dont have an rx7 or something...because i can't see any reason for this immature flaming. i guess i'll have to be the mature one to step up and ignore you

moving on, i have NO IDEA what i did to the clutch which is why im very confused...i didnt do anything out of the normal...just changing gears and depressing the clutch down at a normal speed. hmm this is going to be very intresting i have a meeting tomorrow at 3 to diagnose this problem.

unfortunately im not with the car right now to check out my pedal bracket, that possibly could have been the culprit that caused the clutch failure. either that or i got a lemon part in my clutch system because there must have been a weak link to cause the malfunciton that tore up everything... ugh im extremely upset this car has 18,000 miles and its not even 4 years old and gets babied.... if this was a track car and i had an upgraded pressure plate and a forced induction motor and i was romping the clutch all day i might understand but as of right now i think that the clutch system on this car is a piece of ****

that looks horrible.. is the dealer really covering that? i thought clutches were pretty hard to get warranty coverage, seeing as its wear and tear.

i have 60k on my car on the same clutch and it seems absolutely fine, no slips, no change since the car was new. 18k is amazing.
