Mitch, it's understandable how you did this, but I think you meant your info to go into the Statistical Analysis Approach to Understanding MPG Issue thread.

(We'll use your info here as well.)

Hi, I had forgotten about my own thread already. I don't drive so carefully anymore since I had 7000 miles on the car, and my MPG dropped a bit, to sometimes as little as 19 with 90+% freeway driving.

Far from the <17 mpg numbers that a _few_ have posted here.

Here's a photo as I just approached the 10000th mile.. on highway 85. 3 minutes later I got my first ticket.

You can see the trip meter showing 261 miles with some gas left.
Yes, I'm in 6th gear there :D

She clocked me at @78 mph; I cannot complain on that... because when I took the pics I certainly was faster than that. I think 5000 rpm is ~ 100 mph?

Good to see I'm not the only one who can't take a non-obscured photo of the dash cluster!

This one I'm *not* in 6th gear (4th actually). This was a sub-15mpg run, but I'm not complaining as the tach was reading very similar to the photo for most of the preceeding 108 miles.

123687

Built 11/04/2003.
7300 Miles, MT... Mostly spirited (when the wife isn't in the car...)driving on regular fuel.

19.654 Average (70/30 : City/Highway)
17.399 Minimum (during Autocross weekend)
23.712 Maximum (during highway long distance trip, cruise set at 78 most of the time)

Most miles on a tank of gas : 316.3

Overall, I'm happy with the milage. I didn't buy the car to save on gas, I bought the car to wake up and not be able to wait to drive to work. It's filling the role beautifully.
