here's the proper reaction for 2 situations:
A) dan helps out, drives out and installs for the agreed price of $2000 + $150. go dan, dan's the man. In fact, he's quite an amazing guy... extremely nice of him to go out of his way, with no car mind you, to drive hours (round trip) in order to install some rims for some dude he doesnt know who happened to have a bad day.
B) he doesnt. oh well, it's not like he agreed to $2000 + roadside service in case of emergency. Yeah, I would have called him if I was in his situation, but I would also understand that there is no obligation for him to come help. If he said he was UNABLE to, then I would definitely not hold it against him. If he was to ask a friend or rent a car, you should have paid more. At least give half of what you would alternatively have to pay. As mentioned before, you could have offered $1500 and then the rest of the money after you sold the tires... get a written agreement written up for legal safety and had a deal.
To use your argument... it's quite clear that YOU didnt want the rims bad enough. You see, it's a two way thing. It's not just you giving him cash and he gets all the benefits. It's you giving him $2k, and him giving what you and him agreed to be equal value. So it's kind of like you giving him $2k and he hands you that $2k right back. But then you decide that since he didnt go out of his way to change the deal up, that he should give you his $2k, but now you're going to just give him $1.5k. And this makes sense why?

1.) Yeah, both sides are in the green to me. Sure, he had some bad luck, would have loved the help. Why the hell is he attacking the guy, though, because he COULDN'T help?
2.) He had no car to help, understandable. If he had a car and went out and helped, more power to him. No real fault to be placed on the seller because he had no means of transportation to help.
Sounds like OP is just angry about the raw deal he got from life and is raging on the first person he could. Breath, calm down, go your separate ways and call it GG.

In any case, it's ridiculous that you blame Dan for your problems. You were the one being a dick, not him. I can't believe that you actually asked him to pay for the tires that you bought, I mean come on. It wasn't his fault that you had to buy those tires, it was YOUR fault.
In fact this whole thing was YOUR fault. You're the one that took a long road trip with no spare or roadside assistance and two bad tires, so how could you blame anyone else for your problems when you got a flat? Grow up and take some responsibility.

Sheriff- Odsucky is the plaintiff and Danomite (danomites waves) is the defendant
Judge- Ok and why are they here and what can we do to get this resolved
Sheriff- It seems that Odsucky was suppose to buy some Vo , VO volxxs racing from Danomite
Osducky- Volks Racing wheels.
Judge- Who the hell is Volks and why was he racing? Also why isnt Volks not here?
Danomite- Your honor, Volks Racing is the company that makes the wheels
Judge- oh ok. So plantiff tell us what happend.
Osducky- yes your honor. it started off by me calling Danomite to let him know that i was coming over to pick the wheels
Judge- the Volks Wheels right?
Osducky- yes your honor the vollks wheels. so we set up a time and date for me to come out there. on my way to his place, which is like 1k miles a way from my home. i ended up getting a flat.
Judge- Why and (beep) would you drive 1k miles to buy some Volks wheeels
Osducky- Well because Danomite said it would be expensive for him to ship me the wheels, so me and my mother, who btw is your biggest fan and also asked if i can get a autograph from you. decided to drive to get me these wheels.
Judge- Well tell your mother thank you and yes ill sign her a autograph. (Osducky walking up to the judge for a autograph) WTF sheriff please assist this man back to his post. ill give him teh autograph later. Ok so back to your story
Osducky- so i get this flat right, then i started caling up all the local stores around this area. after 8hurs of trying i decided to get Danomite a call. So i call him, he answers
dano-"What the BEEEEP do you want B?"
me- (voice trembling) umm do you always answer the phone this way?
Dano- Who and BEEEEP is this? and why do i hear crying for
Osducky- that is my mom, she isnt crying. she is holding up my car up because i didnt bring a jack.

Osducky - um if that mean yes, then Word
Dano- SO why are you calling me.
Osducky- i am that guy who is buying your wheels from you. but i have a problem, i got a flat and i tried calling all the stores in this area for a spare. but no luck , so i was wondering if you can drive out here with the wheels. so i can put them on my car and be on my merry way. btw is there any way you can discount them for me?

(15mins go by) well i looked it over, i can see why osducky is upset, and i can see where Dano is coming from. so i decided that osducky is SOL and S^&t happens. as for the Dano and the shotgun
