Stats are what is brought in front of the county commission and city commission. It's a two way street. You all bitch for citation but it reallity it helps the city, county you live in in the long run. Many of you might not see it that way but trust me it does. Different cities, counties, states use the revenue from citaitons for different means. It is not about the revenue from citations, all though you all probably think I am full of ****, right? Well no, if it was all about revenue, judges and cops would not reduce citation amounts and judges would not eliminate the points off your license. So bitch all you want about a ticket, your missing the real meaning of one though. And no, there is no bonus money for citations.
Thats probably why they reward the dude who gave out the most ticket in NYC? They have a list to tell people who is the top 10 of the *Whoever wrote the most ticket in the whole city*, unbelievable. but its true.

I've never live in FL before, I think u're cool too bad u're not in nyc ...

In NYC, they hired a couple thousand people just to give tickets, even some city officials admit that this is one of the easiest way to *boost* the city's income.

They can give tickets all they want, but bullshit tickets like mine, that dude just blocked me and forced that **** on my head, is just wrong. and there is no way that I can counter the ticket because he will always win. He did it to me, that means he probably did it to somebody else before, probably quite often too. I paid 75 for something I did not do.

Not sure about other states, but in NYC cops are WAY overpowered. Especially after 911, they brag about how they helped people and stuff. I was like WOW, Isnt that what you get paid for? Where my tax money goes ? After that they got even MORE power. If they think your car has a weapon, they can shoot you all they want. Nothing will happen to them.

Police is here to enforce the law I know, its just sad that most cops abuse their power.

Oh well.

There area few NYC cops that work down here. Most are cocky but some are really cool too. Cops have more laws governing them than citizens do. I couldn't live in NYC just for the issue your stating. I can't deal with an a-hole cop, not even one I work with. I say what I think and it has got me into trouble talking to other cops in my area. I don't have any problems though. My chain of command is damn good. Alot of cops do not know how to talk to people. I would put $100 up just to say that every cop you all are talking about focuses on traffic and nothing else. It seems there is no communication skills from them. And those skill don't strenghten themselves handing out tickets.

I would suggest you set a court date and plea no contest. Don't reschedule and reschedule hoping the cops wont show up. All that does is **** judges off. They will see how many times you reschedule. If you have a clean record or a pretty good one that the majority of the time the judge will reduce the fine and eliminate the points without making you go to traffic school. It's the easiet way and the cheapest wa to go. If not pay a high price attorney that will probably be a ***** in the courtroom anyway, **** off the judge and you will still get hit with the points anf full fine. It's the lottery on the street and in the courthouse. Good luck.

I don't want to risk anything in getting me to pay more or get more points taken off.. I'll just probably do what the cop asked me to do.. But then again, that's what I've been trying NOT to do.. And that is, going to traffic school..

Man freak.. I hate cops that stop me for speeding. The rest are fine..

If you plead no contest there is no way you fine will go above what it is at now. If your driving record sucks then don't bother doing either. It's up to you. I would go to court and plead. I am sure you will get what you want.

I was doing donuts in an empty parking lot at 1 a.m. about 3 weeks ago and I had a police officer follow me out. He let me go without pulling me over. I'm sure he just ran my plates and made sure everything was clean. It was a butt puckering moment for me. I haven't done it since...

I got a stupid ticket in March 2006, damn blind ********* said I did not stop at stop sign, but if any of you guys see where it happen, you will agree with me thats its a bullshit ticket, They CANNOT see if I stop. they can see ONLY if I go pass the stop sign line, which I didnt do, you suppose to stop BEFORE the line. and I got this bullshit ticket.

Do you guys know if I can take driving school lessons again to get points off?

Cuz I already took defensive driving course to get lower insurance (when I first got my 8), so Im not sure if I can take it *Again* to take the 2 points off my record.

I would call not having traction for a few seconds hydroplaning.

I leave the lot, hit some water, car loses tractions for a few seconds, I let off the gas a bit, the car jerks ever so slightly as I get back on the gas a bit when it felt like I had traction. Got traction, then 10 seconds later as I'm making a left turn lights come on behind me.

The whole scenario happend in like 20 seconds or less with no one on the streets. I was in the part of town where there is nothing open late, no clubs, bars, etc.

Whenever I went to fight it, I found out apparently police officers write notes on the back of tickets so they can remember the incident.

I'm glad this one graduated 1301 english, because he wrote down that I

"violently ripped the tail end of the car out" - Vocabulary ftw?!

After reading that the judge that I was trying to settle this said I was pretty much a done deal and nothing would happen.

I pleaded to him that the officer was over-exaggerating the situation and using very descriptive words to get some kind of shock value so the ruling in his favor just because he really wanted to stick it to someone so he would reach his qouta.

Because it's not just enough to say I hit jimmy when he said my mom was fat, but that I was filled with rage when I glared at jimmy as I began to beat and batter him.

Over-dramanization ftl.

After saying that, I ended up getting a defered judication or whatever it is for 180 days. (No moving violations within 180 days and the ticket is dropped)

Needless to say since it doesn't rain that much here and that I never ran into Officer McDouche douche again, the ticket was dropped.

He's not kidding. I saw this in the courtroom the day I beat my ticket. This guy's attorny put on a big show for his client and never brought any of the facts into question... He lost.

Did he breathe fire? If he didn't breathe fire it wasn't a big show at all

That has to suck though. I would be the one guy that when the judge dismisses the case would have the awkward burst of laughter. I don't think I'd be able to hold back after witnessing something like that haha...

It's all about maintaining the flow of revenue into the stupid system. If Joe Speeder averages 3 speeding tickets a year and he pays a fine each time, what would happen if a judge pulled Joe's license after the third offense for a period of 6 months? That municipality would lose out on 1.5 ticket's worth of revenue. Now multiply that take by thousands and you'll see that they'll gladly fine people rather than lose that "income" stream. Nothing but a scam. One MASSIVELY HUGE RACKET! Collected by, I've said it before and will say it again, nothing but a bunch of deadbeat government "workers".

Judges have nothing to do with citaiton revenue so it wouldn't really matter what the judge ruled. I don't know who collects the money so I have no idea what deadbeat "workers" you are talking about. If no revenue is generated than the officers, deputies in your area declines.

You know what's scary now? That same road I was stopped at, co-worker of mine driving by was hitting 120 in the 55 zone. He was caught by a plane. That's freaking weird.. I didn't know cops flew planes.. lmao..

He needs to go to court btw. But I agree that 120 is seriously too fast.. That's no BS in whatever statement or excuse you may want..

But wow, I'm now scared to speed there because omg, air attack!
Have you heard about this plane thing police34?

Florida > Ft. Lauderdale

Story time...

I have to say that I've had very few cops that were a-holes to me but they did appear every now and then. In fact it seems that with the Rx8 they are treating me even better...It's strange but true.

I've probably had about 4 or 5 tickets in 13 to 14 years...I'm 29 going on 30 and most have been dismissed due to the officer not showing and one time the officer did show and told the judge that he misplaced the ticket. He then proceeded to smile at me when the judge was not looking (I tried not to jump for joy). The judge looked at me and said well I guess this is your lucky day...Case dismissed. The officer was obviously being cool...I even remember him telling me to take it to court plead no contest and everything would be fine. Well I would say it did.

I had another occasion that I was driving a brand new Toyota Matrix XRS lowered on rims and an officer pulled me over (I was under the speed limit). He asked for my information and I actually forgot my license but gave him as much info as possible. He asked me if I knew why I was pulled over and I looked at him with an expression of "Duhhhh...I don know" and answered honestly I have no clue. He mentioned that there were reports of someone that met my description causing trouble in one of the near by plazas. He asked if I knew anything about it. I said no sir I was "here" getting "this" and I am going home now. He ran my info and it matched the registration and let me go without any citation. Just a verbal warning not to forget my ID next time.

Same car and I was going to work and I got pulled over by a traffic cop who clocked me with laser on an on ramp doing 59 mph (35mph ramp...no signs). I chatted with the guy and we even talked about how long he was on the force. I also mentioned my desire to join the FBI (true at the time). The issue was that the on ramp clearly had no signs indicating speed limit and when you get to the strait away at the end it says 60 mph so the guy was like...Look I have to give you something so here is a proof of insurance ticket (as he returns my insurance card). $5 ticket beetch's!! Awsome guy!

Last was the Rx8...Two tickets in 1 week...WTF!!! But I desirved them big time (each were over 25mph of the posted limit). I was coming back from Tamps (POLICE34 where were you dude! ) down I-75 east. Well I was chatting with my bud when we see this huge freakin Duely with a black dog in the bed that I can only describe as Bo-Heim-ETH and we could not figure out what the hell it was (my bud had a Great Dane). So I spead up to check it out. Wouldn't you know Mercury Merrauder in the trees with Laser and I get shot with it...Radar detector goes off as the guy is already pealing out...LOL!!! Great job Mr. Detector. The guy pulls me over and he's not an *** but he's not nice either and asks all the routine questions. As I reflect on the event I should have noted to the officer my halarious K-9 story and at least made him laugh at me but I meerly appologized. Then his tone went from not so nice to kewl as he wrote me a Poem and told me my car was too cool...LOL! No really he gave me the ticket and said nice car slow it down.

Three days later in town and wammo...ticket time (oh oh...oh oh). This time I got Sgt Major Kewl as ***! But this was mostly that I MADE ABSOLUTE SURE I PULLED INTO A SAFE AREA A LA PARKING LOT. The cop comes up to me and says...So did that thing help you any (points to Mr. Detector) and without missing a beat I said...You know...It was on silent LOL! The cop's belt probably buckled when he tried to stop himself from laughing at me and then thanked me for co-operating and for pulling into a safe area. He returned after 10 min with my ticket and said that he noted that I was EXTREMELY co-operative with law enforcement (aka he wasn't going to show for court). Sure enough Sgt Major Kewl as *** must have been busting to many ricer civics the day before and was too tired to show to the court hearing.

With that said don't get me wrong I hate **** hole officers just like the next guy but I don't get many. Truth is I don't go more than 10 over the limit in the city but on the highway I go like a bat out of hell. I've been at 152 mph on a highway...deserted at 4am before. This only happened once but it happened. I frequent 120 mph when no one is around but in traffic I will NEVER exceed 100 mph and usually stay within 15 mph of the limit. In fact the cop that stopped me at the on ramp above even told me to keep it within 10 to 15 over and 9 times out of 10 you will be fine. Just don't be dum...if you see the cop slow down. If your still going that fast he will eventually nail ya for being dum.

I almost forgot...

So I'm going to the Hard Rock to join the festivities last week and I get on I-595 east. As I was getting on the highway dum *** Nissan Maxima (late model) desides to block me as I try to merge onto the next lane and speed up so I go to the final lane merging legally...waiting 2 sec before changing lanes and gun it. At the same EXACT time I gunned it so did the Maxima...This guy was racing me. He only slowed due to traffic (I was doing about 93mph as I started to slow down) but I ate this guy alive. KEEP IN MIND I WAS NOT TRYING TO RACE HIM...I was just pissed at his poor lane changing and obstructing me from passing him. I finally got in front and slowed to 80 mph and Captain Maximus was still gunning it all the way to my rear bumper like he was trying to get me to go some more. He tails me for 10 seconds and WAMMO!!!

Can you guess what happened?

No?

It was a cop! I'm sorry but his lights went off and I started laughing. He left them on for 3 seconds and changes lanes and guns it. I'm like...maybe he let me go cause he knows I can out run him...LMAO...I don't know...Maybe it's cause he was being a retard...again don't know. One thing is for sure...He was kewl enough to just let me know: "Pssst! I'm a copper...hehehe...ZOOMMMM!"

the money goes to the city of course. where else you think the money would go ?

then they use the money to fund the police force, just so that they can give out more tickets.

Seriously speaking, they dont care if people drive 20 or 200mph an hour, all they want is money out of you. What you said could be true, you know, the *stats* thing. Thats the same idea as have to meet certain *quota*. I know NYC Police Department has a quota to meet every now and then.

****, its even worst now, all I see these days are copy keep giving out tickets, waiting at the dark corner of the streets, following people, etc.

I almost got a ticket of *No signal when making a left turn* by a Uncover *TAXI* with 4 cops in there. I was like *Wtf I did singal u ************** in my heart, then I overheard their conversation something like "Hey you want to give him a ticket? I dont like his *CAR**. I was like wtf ? but the other guy was like *nah, just let him go* I was like phew .... Great job ******* *********. They already stopped me for someone I didnt do, even my gF was like *Wtf?*, cuz she saw me signal, she was like wow, this is bs.

My point is, if they want to pick on someone, they can, and a lot of them do that every day. For example if the *Taxi* incident they want to force **** on my head, I cant fight it, cuz they're in group of 4, they *will* back each other up with lies. No doubt they will win.

Damn Cops.

helicopters are more common. I have heard and seen the airplanes in magazines but do not know where they actually use airplanes. Those could be for a high traffic crash area and really no place to sit on that stretch of road. Helicopters are very popular around here.

WTF? A Taxi??

In all seriousness, I would never pull over for a taxi. I'd probably assume danger, and floor it the hell outta there. If I couldn't due to traffic/neighborhood then I'd probably call 911..

Why did you pull over for those douchebags???

Yep, in NYC, undercover use *Taxi* to patrol around. B4 my gf know me, she does not know that Cops actually use Taxi to spy on people. I kept telling her I am not kidding she just wont believe me, until that *time* we was both in the car and a *Taxi* pulled us over. Finally she believe me.

Thats why you always see a taxi or 2 parked in the Police Precinct's parking lot. Its a well known fact to NYC drivers.

NYC undercover used to use Ford Taurus in the 90s, but after the yr 2000, they start to use something else, now they use Impala, Charger, Explorer, Cobalt. I've seen some Tahoe and Suburban as well.
